About this training Mature fields differ from green field developments in that major infrastructure is in place, static reservoir data has accumulated from development drilling and a growing volume of production and processing performance data has become available. Decisions therefore relate to incremental projects, which may be small in scope and are often economically marginal. A firm understanding of the technical fundamentals associated with reservoir, wells and surface facilities is therefore required to make quality decisions in this environment, supported by realistic uncertainty ranges, and consistent application of incremental project economics and risk analysis. Various strategies may be considered to manage the mature asset, from harvest to divest, and the selected incremental activities should support a clear chosen strategy. DERMAGRAFT AND ENRICHED NANO-MICROFAT TRANSFER FOR FACE, NECK & HANDS – VOLUMIZATION & REJUVINATION WHAT IS MICROFAT AND NANOFAT GRAFTING FOR FACE AND NECK LIFT? Microfat and enriched nanofat graft transfer (also known as autologous fat transfer or lipoinjection), to the face and the neck is a minimally invasive, short-lasting procedure with rapid recovery, and can be done under local anaesthesia. Following completion of the procedure, the patient can return to the normal daily life activities. But firstly, we need to clearly explain what the terms microfat and nanofat grafts mean…. Microfat is defined a small-diameter fat particle and is used to improve the appearance of wrinkles, grooves and the lack of volume and sagginess of the skin of the face and neck, in response to the aging process. Similarly, nanofat, is referred to as the smallest diameter fat particle. The main advantage of the nanofat is that it contains cells that have the ability to differentiate in any type of body cell. Stem cells – as they are called- play a very important role in the process of rejuvenation, as they can differentiate into cells called fibroblasts which in turn produce collagen thus making the skin firmer and more youthful in appearance. The Course can be divided into two stages: 1. In the first stage, fat cells will be obtained from one or more parts of the body and are then purified and injected into the face and the neck. The doctor will identify an area in your body where the fat will be obtained from. This area is usually the flanks, but fat can also be obtained from other areas such as the abdomen, and the outer and inner thighs. You will be given enough local anaesthesia to numb the area where the fat will be harvested from. Then, a small-diameter cannula called microcannula connected to a special vacuum syringe will be gently introduced under the skin to obtain the fat. During this process, you should not feel any pain, the local anaesthetic will have made you numb. After the fat is harvested, it will contain a mixture of fat cells, blood, water, and local anaesthetic. Therefore, this fat will not be pure. This mixture of fat, blood, water and local anaesthetic will then become filtered into a special filtering and processing device whereby all the blood, water and local anaesthetic are being washed out, so that pure fat remains. This fat is then further processed by passing it through special filters whereby it becomes a smaller-sized fat particle known as microfat and nanofat graft. You need to be medically qualified as a doctor, dentist, nurse, pharmacist or paramedic with full governing body registration and have completed a Foundation Filler Course and to have administered a number of cases. Often, we need to be more than what our Job Description says It is also important to highlight that whatever a person’s role or function is – they will definitely need to have additional capabilities to be effective. The best example of this is when we designed and delivered a range of ‘Advanced Customer Care skills’ training sessions for the Met Office a few years ago…we met so many remarkably super-bright Meteorologists, many of whom were having to make significant adjustments to answering questions from Customers that seemed to be illogical and often, obtuse. It wasn’t enough for these Meteorologists to be highly skilled at interpreting data and identifying patterns – they needed ‘Augmented skills’ to make that information accessible to members of the public (and Council workers and Air Traffic controllers and Shipping agents) and many other people, as to what that particular weather system was going to be like in their area and at what time. They have to know how to ‘de-jargonise’ the material and provide succinct, clear, and yet temperate, descriptions without ever appearing exasperated, impatient or judgmental in response to sometimes quite silly questions. For a highly trained scientist – that can be counter-intuitive. Being Philosophical... and a wee bit pretentious At the risk of being a little Philosophical (and probably a wee bit pretentious) – in my own role of Trainer – my core skills have to include – being a very good communicator, an active listener and have innovative and engaging ways to convert an idea, or a model, into practical application that my Delegates and Clients gain tangible benefits from. This is how it applies to me... I really enjoy composing short, light classical-style piano pieces. Now, to do this well, you need to be able to find a transition from one chord or melody to a different theme or key. It has to be worked out very carefully to have incremental transitions and pleasant-sounding developments as the piece unfolds. I think I have become better at this as I have honed my skills as a composer. But I have realized that these very same skills have ‘Augmented’ my ability to help a Manager, or a Team, move from a state of conflict; tension; disfunction; disenfranchisement; lack of confidence to a place that is more harmonious with far greater productivity. The very same process of careful listening, considering options, taking well-considered steps, having a creative, sometimes brave, move towards a resolution are at play in both Training and Piano Compositions!
