Activity Details FRIDAY EVENING - Arrival Day We kick our surf & yoga weekends off by meeting at our HQ in the centre of Newquay at 6pm for a warm welcome from your hosts for the weekend. After the hellos and introductions are done with the rest of your group, and the weekend plan has been set, you’ll head up to our camp for your first evening of woodland shenanigans! If you are planning to get to us by public transport, we can help you lift share with another adventurer!  Your hosts will give you the camp tour and you then have the evening to settle in and become accustomed to Camp Living! After a quick introduction to the camp, you’ll want to settle into your shared Bell tent (air bed, sheets & a light blanket provided) before the evening activities begin. Complete with a hand-built games area, Axe throwing zone and sheltered communicable Fire Pit, you’ll spend your time getting to know everyone, and designating the camp chef for the following evening!  SATURDAY MORNING Your first morning starts with a coffee and a camp breakfast of cereals and fruits as you prepare for your first day of activities. SATURDAY AFTERNOON After lunch, you’ll head back up to our camp for your first yoga session either in our hand-built yoga barn if the weather isn’t on our side or by the side of our acre pond soaking up the sun! Your yoga session is tailored to ease those post-surf aches and spins away and guide you into a relaxed and zen state enabling you to slide into camp living effortlessly! SATURDAY NIGHT Once the day’s activities are finished the rest of the afternoon is yours to relax with a book, explore the camp, or even have a little dip in our pond! You’ll finish the night off with stories around the campfire, roasting marshmallows or one or two of your favourite drinks before sleeping soundly under the stars. SUNDAY - Day 3 Sunday morning starts with the obligatory tea or coffee and our camp breakfast. After breakfast, it’s time to wave goodbye to the wild camp and head back to Newquay, jump into a wetsuit and hit the Cornish waves one last time. Your second surf lesson builds on the previous day's experience – Today is all about having fun in the surf! The UK CAA Commercial Pilot's Licence (CPL(H)) If you want to fly professionally as a career, you will need a Commercial Pilot’s Licence (CPL (H)). This is the standard professional licence which can only be taken at Approved Flight Training Organisations like Heliflight.  Heliflight offers a modular flight training approach to obtaining a CPL (H) that helps you to train at your own pace and manage your finances. Before you start training for your CPL, you will need to hold a PPL (H), issued in accordance with Annex 1 to the Chicago convention and have logged 155 hours of helicopter flying including 50 hours PIC of which 10 hours must be cross-country. You will also be studying a range of theory in greater depth than for your PPL. This study can be done at home in your own time on a distance learning course. Heliflight will guide on where best to complete this ground school. There is also a compulsory ground school part of the course that lasts three weeks in total. This will also give you the opportunity to make friends with fellow pilots as you work towards passing your theoretical exams. These exams must be passed prior to taking your Skills test, but Heliflight recommends that they are passed prior to commencing your flight training. Building Shared Dreams. The group thinks together about what they would love to see happening for children, families and practitioners in their settings if they could have it all. If there were no constraints on time, money, resources, people or anything else what do they see happening in their imaginations? The various ideas that the group comes up with are then recorded in key words, images and colours on the MAP graphic. The purpose of this Step is to give the group a sense of direction, their North Star, an image of the place they want to work towards. Nightmare. In this Step, the group imagines the worst scenarios. What is the opposite of their dreams? How bad could it get? This is a shorter but powerful process that can give some groups more energy than dreaming together. Gifts and Capacity. In this Step the group is asked to take explicit stock of their capacities and what they already have going for them as they begin working towards the vision. This is a strong reminder for any group of the wealth of knowledge and experience that is already and always in the room. Needs. In this Step the group is invited to begin to name some of the needs they will have if they are to move forward to wards the dream and away from the nightmare. Actions. This is the final Step in the MAP and calls for individuals within the group to name a range of very specific actions (however small) that they will take within a definite time scale. This is not a time for declaring good intentions or suggesting good ideas for someone else to do. The purpose of this Step is to end the MAP process with a range of clearly understood actions that carry this planning process forward into the real world.
