This one-day workshop will introduce you to the history and development of still life and product photography and its use in commerce and fine art. We will look at the work of historical and contemporary practitioners leading to a practical demonstration of still life photography, encompassing the relevant lighting, styling and composition. The day will include a simple product photography and lighting session exploring camera techniques and equipment you can use to create your own images. Please bring along a small object you would like to photograph as part of the day. Morning The day will start with an introduction to the still life genre, looking at its development through photography both as a commercial and artistic tool. We’ll then build and light a still life setup – providing guidance and examples of different lighting techniques, composition and styling skills. Afternoon The afternoon will focus on product photography and lighting for sales. This will include information on equipment and technical requirements, along with some handy tips, tricks and hacks! We’ll also demonstrate ‘Focus Stacking’ – an advanced technique for combining multiple images. The day will conclude with a practical session, where you will get a chance to work in small groups to photograph the objects you have brought in, we’ll also provide some sample objects if required. This is a great opportunity to put the day’s learning into practice with our tutor’s support on hand. Project Days are designed for those who are already familiar with some digital photography processes but who want to pursue a particular aspect and develop skills in a specific genre. This course is the perfect follow-on from our Digital SLR training courses and will support you in building upon your existing knowledge of camera skills and allow you to work confidently on your own projects. This is also the meaning of the scientific name given to the cacao plant Theobroma Cacao (Theo - God, broma - drink). To give the cacao spirit the opportunity to enter the person who takes it, the traditional way is to do it through a specific ceremony. It has been used for millennia by the indigenous peoples of Central America as an essential element in rituals. The Cacao Spirit was considered one of the most important deities in the Mayan cosmovision. In Mexico, the Aztecs considered it so precious that cocoa beans were regarded as coins. Ceremonial cacao is very different from the cacao found in our supermarkets. It is produced by simply cold milling cocoa beans from indigenous plants, after which the beans are lightly roasted and peeled. In this way, the cacao contains all the elements of the fruit in its entirety, including the cacao butter, which in industrial production is immediately separated. Returning to the ceremony, the intake of cacao is a sacred moment to connect with the Divine through a deep inner journey from the heart. Cacao has the property of encouraging a loving opening of the heart, allowing you to listen to the deepest parts of yourself. it is through the Heart that the connection with Heaven, Heart of Heaven, and with Earth, Heart of Earth, takes place. The heart is the seat of love in all traditional cultures, sometimes it is also the seat of some wounds that one receives in life, that is why Cacao has an effect first of all of releasing and releasing the emotions that bring the pains of life, but later it connects the individual with the true and great Heart, seat of infinite, unlimited Love. Mama Cacao also works on our Ancestors, it has the ability to release and heal the suffering that was theirs. Please avoid caffeine, alcohol, dairy, red meat for 24 hours before and after - they do not mix well with Cacao. Keep well hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Our *NEW* Mini First Aid Baby Proofing class is our second class, designed for parents and carers of babies and children over 3 months. It can be taken after our 2 hour Baby and Child First Aid class, or in isolation for those parents who are starting their weaning journey, or have a baby on the move!

Immerse Training is a fully regulated First Aid Training Provider. We love working in schools, nurseries and youth groups teaching young people how to keep each other safe and what to do if something goes wrong. With sessions sessions from 1 hour tasters for every class in a school, to after school first aid clubs, Immerse Training are certain to design a programme that’s right for you, your budget and your children.   We currently deliver First Aid and Life-Saving skills across a variety of settings to groups of children and young people from 4 to 14 years old, when they are able to participate in accredited First Aid courses. All of our First Aid Training for Children courses are designed in collaboration with qualified childcare practitioners and child health clinicians. Our programmes can be tailored to meet any area of the curriculum from Early Years Foundation Stage through to Key Stage 3. First Aid Training for Children is a great way to prepare young people for specific activities such as Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, babysitting and sports leadership. First Aid Courses For Young People Programmes and sessions for young people focusing on how to keep each other safe and what to do if something goes wrong. Sessions are designed with age and national curriculum in mind, from 1 hour tasters to sessions for large groups, perfect as part of NCS and Duke of Edinburgh programmes. Our training for young people is fun, engaging and focuses on fundamental life saving skills.  All courses can be delivered at our training centre in Poole, Dorset or we can deliver on-site across Bournemouth, Poole, Dorset, Hampshire and the South of England.
