Twinfix are a high quality, safety focused, British manufacturer and installer of roof glazing and canopy systems. Established in 1990, Twinfix are still a family owned and managed business, with a long standing history of providing quality products in the roof glazing and canopy market. From its original roots as polycarbonate and glazing bar suppliers, Twinfix now offer a full range of glazing products from the original glazing bar range to the non-fragile Multi-Link-Panel which is often incorporated into a wide variety of canopies, covered walkways and shelters. Working across many sectors, including rail, education, industrial and retail, Twinfix offers a full service from initial enquiry and advice on projects, to design, manufacture and installation. Twinfix pride themselves on product development and introducing new roofing and canopy products to the market. The Multi-Link-Panel NF is a core product. These panels are commonly used to form the glazed roof of canopies, walkways and shelters as well as overhead glazing in roof lights. Consisting of a lightweight and durable powder coated aluminium frame glazed with polycarbonate, this fix-and-link system is incredibly quick to install. It also features an innovative reinforcing technique that allows the glazed panels to pass the HSE test procedure for Non Fragile Roofing Assemblies (ACR[M]001:2019) as detailed in HSG33.

Rooted by materials, training and history to The Black Country village of the same name for over thirty years, using clay and metal to make truly unique pieces of use. At Woodsetton two generations and an upcoming third, have made their livings as designer makers for over 50 years. David Bates, a furniture designer and manufacture, and Gill Bates an antique dealer, later came together to work with pewter. The Victorian house and workshops which housed their early business was built by the Parkes family of Iron founders who were descendants of Abraham Derby 1st, and so there has been a long line of metal working at this address. For the latter 30 years Lorraine Bates has run a pottery here using stoneware and metal to make pieces of use. The combination of these two materials has an illustrious history in the Black Country in the shape of The Ruskin Pottery who made stoneware in The Arts and Crafts tradition and ethos which is still a strong influence on our work. Lorraine Bates and the team at Woodsetton, now have a history of making for galleries, museums and exhibitions in the UK, America, Japan and Europe.

ceramics studio co-op

Ceramics Studio Co-op runs adult ceramics and pottery classes and provides specialised technical support to artists working with ceramics since 2014 in Deptford, South London. The studio is owned and run by the artists who work in it and have equal say in what it does. We are a worker’s cooperative.

Enjoy creating a piece of work together in a group workshop. I charge £120 for the workshop and £10 per person taking part (please contact me for schools and support group pricing). I supply the materials and tools and support you to plan and make your project. I will then fire your work in the kiln, add some glaze, then fire it again for the last time. I am happy teaching old or young, and those with extra needs. You can have a Pop Up Pottery at your own venue (providing there are tables and space for everyone), or I can arrange a work space in Beaumaris (there would be an extra £60 room hire for this).

Established in 2015, Arran Street East is a craft and design studio based in the markets area of Dublin city centre, where we make pottery and woven homewares to our own functional designs. We have a studio shop and we teach craft skills in Dublin and in Schull in West Cork. We use traditional crafting techniques to make and teach our craft, throwing on pottery wheels (pottery workshops), and weaving on looms and frame looms (weaving workshops). Each piece is individually made by hand using locally inspired colours and materials, and while our pottery and textiles are designed and made to mix and match, no two items are exactly the same. In the summer of 2022 we opened a Creative Hub in Schull, West Cork, where we teach workshops, including pottery, weaving and baking. In 2016 and 2017, Arran Street East won the Best Tableware category in the Image Interiors Design Awards. In 2019 we were the Home Category and Overall Winner of the Irish Made Awards by Irish Country Magazine. In 2022 The Gloss and The Shopkeepers included us in the list of 100 Best Shops in Ireland.
