It is tailored for those who work in environments that require both First Aiders and Peadiatric First Aiders, such as schools, sports clubs or childcare facilities. This streamlined approach maximises efficiency and saves time for those seeking both certifications.

The HSE approved qualification is a three-day course that provides individuals and businesses with the knowledge and skills they require to remain compliant with workplace First Aid training. The course fully meets the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2021. This course is aimed at individuals and businesses where the risks are higher and there is a requirement for employees to hold a great level qualification. Aims To give a more in-depth knowledge to help you deal with several different emergencies at work. Course Content • Acts and regulations • Roles and responsibilities • Calling and liaising with the emergency services and scene safety • Infection control and barrier use • Unconscious breathing casualties • Heart attacks, Cardiac arrest, CPR including the use of AED (defib) • Choking • Bleeding and embedded objects • Burns, shock and Seizures • Head and eye injuries • Breaks, dislocations, and sprains • Bites, stings and poisoning • Angina, asthma, stroke and diabetes • Illness assessment • Post incident care Prerequisites None - The course is intended either as an introduction or as an update. Assessment Delegates will be required to pass a multiple-choice test at the end of the training. Certificate On successful completion of the course, all delegates will gain a Level 3 award in First Aid at Work valid for 3 years from the date of completion. Instructions We regret that we may not be able to accept people onto a course who are more than 30 minutes late due to contact hours and the content that would be missed. The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing adequate first aid equipment and approved first aid training to the appointed first aider.

The First Aid at Work training course, which conforms with HSE guidance, provides a comprehensive set of practical skills needed by first aiders in most workplaces, giving both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies. It meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety (First aid) regulations. The comprehensive 1-day First aid at work course is ideal for those who need to be certified to be a first aider. The comprehensive 3-day First aid at work course is ideal for those who need to be certified to be a first aider in higher-risk working environments. First aiders are trained by a competent training provider in: • emergency first aid at work (EFAW) – at this level they're qualified to give emergency first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill while at work • first aid at work (FAW) – qualified to EFAW level but can also apply first aid to a range of specific injuries and illnesses

This Level 3 Course is a full 3 day first aid at work course which is designed to help higher risk organisations. We can come nationwide or you can come to us.

This training course is delivered by Registered Trainers with many years of on-the-job experience and who can guide you through the theoretical and practical elements of this essential healthcare training course, and answer any questions that may arise during your training.
