Discover the golden art of Kintsugi. The perfect answer to fixing or upcycling sentimental pottery. Whether it's your favourite cup or your Nan's best vase, during this uplifting pottery workshop, we'll take you on a step-by-step journey to fix or upcycle pottery using gold metallic lacquer that is visible and beautiful. Loosely translated, Kintsugi means 'golden joinery' that highlights your object's events rather than disguises them. It can also be seen as a variant of "Waste not, want not". All materials and tools are provided to fix one piece of ceramics per person across 1.5 hours. You can bring your own broken pottery or we have some pottery ready for you to upcycle and take home. You don’t need any experience, as your guide will be on hand with plenty of one-to-one support, letting you switch off from the world to focus entirely on yourself and follow your mind, body and spirit during the session. At the end of this Kintsugi class in London, you'll have a beautiful piece of pottery, along with a new skill to continue developing in your own time! Childrens Pen Tie Dye T-shirt Upcycling – Good Fest (westfield.com) Workshop Description & Dates Tiptree, Essex Come along to this new family based workshop, adding colour and individuality to a used piece of clothing creating a non- messy Tie Dye effect! This Workshop is to encourage younger people to get reuse creative on maybe a favourite piece of clothing like a cotton T'shirt, hoody or hat even a plain pillow case or duvet! Instead of throwing out a faded old T'shirt why not bring it back to life and personalise it using dyes, embellishment and a scissor upcycle by a no sew transformation! This is a 2 hour workshop is suitable for the whole family, kids 7 years old and upwards must be accompanied by an adult. T'shirts are included if needed! We can take group bookings Ideal gift. Make your own cushion to match your decor. We have over 1400 different, 100% cotton fabrics for you to choose from. You will be able to take home a beautiful, hand-finished Cushion that you have made yourself with the guidance of Alan. Your cushion will be approximately 18" to 20". Get to choose your own fabrics for the cushion cover. The cushion filler is high quality, hollow fibre, professional filler that does not squash after being used once. Everything you require is provided in the course fee so there is nothing else to buy once you have paid the £40.00. Generally, the course is two hours in length but the main aim is to leave with a finished item so if it takes longer then that is ok.
