This course covers the technique for performing a basic Manicure as well as detailing the steps for a spa manicure, mini manicure and male manicure. Hand and nail diseases are detailed as well as the correct way to carry out a thorough consultation. It also includes a practical training module. On completion of the course, you will receive a certificate and a recognised, insurable qualification. Includes all tools/products required for the course, no starter kit included. Please bring a hand towel for personal use with you to the course.  Includes: Hard copy take home training manual. Duration – Fast track one day practical classroom-based training plus online theory work. Theory work to be completed in your own time via The Guild student portal before your practical course date. Practical day – 10am – 4pm inc short lunch break. It is advisable that students arrive 15 mins early to ensure a prompt start. Manual Handling Train The Trainer Refresher course Aim of the course: To equip Team Leaders and Co-ordinators in Care Homes with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver engaging and safe manual handling training to their own staff — including practical techniques, training methods, and peer teaching practice. Learning Objectives: By the end of this course, delegates will be able to: Outline the legal and professional responsibilities related to manual handling in care. Identify manual handling risks and describe common injuries and incidents. Demonstrate safe manual handling techniques, including hoist use, slide sheets, and repositioning methods. Plan and structure a complete manual handling training session. Select and adapt training materials and equipment to suit different learners and settings. Deliver clear, confident explanations and demonstrations of manual handling techniques. Support learners during practical sessions, including correcting unsafe practice. Located between Canterbury and Ashford, join us on the beautiful Kent Downs for this introductory 1 day basket weaving course. Our hunter-gatherer ancestors were particularly skilled at making baskets using a host of different materials for a wide range of uses, from purely practical to ceremonial. We’ve put together this basket weaving course for anyone who would like to learn this fabulous skill. This day course will look at the ancient craft of willow basketry. You will be introduced to the materials and tools required and then be guided through the process to make your own round, handled, willow basket. About us and the venue: Jack Raven Bushcraft was founded in 2011 and we've been delivering bushcraft, craft and foraging courses since then from our 30 acre private ancient woodland on the Kent Downs in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Courses in the summer are held outdoors in our woodland camp complete with covered work areas, an outdoor kitchen and a composting loo. Courses in the winter are held in our workshop in a converted barn. Through the day we will also look at: - Alternative weaves such as randing and wailing - How to make oval and rectangular shaped baskets - Different border designs, - Collecting and preparing your own materials from the hedgerow. Time permitting we will also explore other methods of basketry such as coiled and rubbed baskets. What's included in the price?
