This course will provide staff with the practical knowledge and skills to carry out their duties in the event of a fire

This half-day course is a must for all staff, identified as potential or existing Fire Marshals in commercial premises. Not only is this a legal requirement under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, but it also supports your Company if accredited to CHAS or similar SSIP schemes in demonstrating that suitable training has been provided to your staff. Unlike other courses the learners will receive practical firefighting in a controlled environment against an actual fire, where they will pull the pin out of the extinguisher and fight the fire. Aims To give a clear understanding of what to do in the event of a fire, to primarily protect the life of themselves and others and secondly property. Course Content • Aims of fire safety • Fire Prevention • Methods of combustions • Methods of evacuation • Actions on discovering a fire • Means of escape • Fire Growth and Spread • Practical fire fighting Prerequisites None - The course is intended either as an introduction or as a refresher. Assessment At the end of this course, all delegates will have a clear understanding of the knowledge and requirements of being a Fire Marshal. We supply Fire Marshal, Warden, Awareness training at your location and tailor it to your work sector, as such your staff will have no travelling or subsistence expenses minimising disruption for your organisation. Our trainer will bring all materials so you only need to provide a room with a plug socket. There is a practical element with extinguishers outside using our propane burners, which are fully insured and environmentally friendly. We require approximately 4 car parking spaces for this, if you do not have enough space we provide extinguisher discharge only.   The training is accredited by the Institute of Fire Safety Managers, all attendees will receive individual Electronic Certificates and our Fire Warden Quick Guide, in addition a Group Certificate will be sent with all names on for audit purposes and your central records.

The Fire Warden awareness training is designed to give in-depth fire training that every employee requires. This course can be delivered in your workplace anywhere in the Liverpool area. Our Fire Warden Training covers the role of the designated fire marshal. It also gives you the opportunity to learn about the different types of fire extinguisher and how to use them correctly.
