It is a nationally recognised qualification which allows you to progress onto the Level 5 Diploma, bringing you closer to being able to gain your QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills). All learners, whether pre-service or in-service, volunteer, paid or unpaid teaching, must have access to a minimum of 30 hours of teaching practice. Chapter 9: Understanding and managing behaviors in a learning environment. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: The approved age range for this qualification is 19+. Learners should be qualified/ experienced in the subject they intend to teach, have access to 30 teaching practice hours and possess good levels of language, literacy and numeracy.
