The qualification is an International recognised work-based qualification. Once qualified, it will demonstrate to employers that you are skilled and able to perform well in your role at work. This is where you will be able to demonstrate your ability at work and complete a list of job knowledge questions regarding the units in your qualification. It is the candidate’s responsibility to engage with the Assessor and gather the evidence that will match the assessment criteria in your NVQ.   How can the candidate gather the onsite/work evidence and job knowledge questions? Risk Assessment Method Statement Drawings Materials Measuring, Cutting, Positioning, and securing in place what you are installing.   Methods of ways of gathering evidence - Videos – this will be the candidate setting up their video and then demonstrating their skills and ability on site and then upload to the candidate’s portfolio. On site assessment - where your assessor will come out to you and observe you demonstrating your skills. This will depend on the site location and assessors’ location. If the site location is too far for the assessment to take place, it will be solely video evidence. Your Assessor will instruct you on how to complete your videos. Witness testimony - your Assessor will hold a recorded discussion with your manager/supervisor to confirm where, when and how you have completed the work to the specifications. Photos – They can be used as part of an assessment. They will not be accepted if the candidate isn’t in the photo. Photos cannot be used to build up a portfolio but can be used as part of the videos showing the full completed job and also in the Assessors on site assessment observation report.   Job Knowledge Questions account for 65% of the NVQ qualification. These can be saved to your computer and typed as this will be the quickest and easiest route or you can print them out and hand write them. They are very important, and they are written to see if you have the knowledge behind what you are doing on site or at work. The questions are all relevant to the work that you do.   What is the process? You will receive an email from the online platform with your username (your email address) and password. Arrange with your Assessor to complete your Induction. Complete your knowledge questions. Arrange with your Assessor your site assessment. Assessor will contact your Manager/Supervisor for a testimony. Recorded Professional Discussion with you to confirm your ability and authenticate your portfolio. Cost – Level 2 - £750 + Vat. If you would like to add an additional pathway, they would be £300 each added pathway. Level 3 - £950 + Vat. If you would like to add an additional pathway, they would be £300 each added pathway. Time Scale of the NVQ? The NVQ is candidate led. This will depend on how committed the candidate is and how much work the candidate has lined up. Your Assessor cannot complete you without the evidence. For a level 2, we aim to have the candidate completed in 4 – 8 weeks, Level 3 from 4 – 12/16 weeks

Your risk assessments of First Aid needs may well identify the need for Emergency First Aiders at Work (EFAW) either as an addition to your First Aiders (3-day), or where your Company activities are low risk. A lot of our Clients have requested this course as extra cover when working on construction sites or similar works covered by the Principal Contractors trained site first aiders and for smaller works. Aims To give a basic knowledge to help you deal with any Emergency First Aid at Work. Course Content • Responsibilities and reporting • Assessment of the situation • Basic hygiene in First Aid • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty • Resuscitation and AED (defib) • Heart attacks • Bleeding • Minor injuries • Choking • Shock • Seizures. Prerequisites None - The course is intended either as an introduction or as a refresher. Assessment Delegates will be required to pass a multiple-choice test at the end of the training. (In addition, the HSE strongly recommend that all students undergo an annual refresher programme of about 3 hours, although this is not mandatory). Certificate On successful completion of the course, all delegates will receive a certificate of attendance. Instructions We regret that we may not be able to accept people onto a course who are more than 30 minutes late due to contact hours and the content that would be missed. It is a requirement of our regulators, to check ID for all delegates attending our courses. Driving licence, passport, work ID badge or a debit / credit card are all acceptable means of ID. The IMI Level 2 Award in MOT Testing is the second stage in becoming a qualified MOT tester. It was developed alongside the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and is designed to equip learners with the qualification, knowledge and skills necessary to carry out and accurate and repeatable MOT Test Routine. Once you have successfully completed and passed this award, the final stage (stage 3) will be to complete a VT8 demonstration MOT test with a DVSA assessor to receive your certificate of competence. This will normally be conducted in your own Vehicle Testing Station (VTS) and successful completion will allow you to commence testing with immediate effect. What you will achieve Successful completion of the IMI Level 2 Award in MOT Testing (Classes 4 and 7), will give you a valuable academic qualification recognised by the DVSA that demonstrates your skills and knowledge in conducting MOT testing. Cost of Course The cost of this course is £795 + VAT per candidate. Our courses are ran using a blend of practical and theory based study in small groups of 4 candidates in order to maximise on tutor contact time. Upon application, we will send you some pre-course learning materials and videos to study that will fully prepare you for what is a very demanding course and assessment. Completion of this work forms part of the guided learning hours for this course and is therefore mandatory. Candidates failing to complete this work may be refused entry onto the course. Entry Requirements To be eligible to undertake the The IMI Level 2 Award in MOT Testing (Classes 4 and 7), you must: have a current and full UK driving licence for the classes of vehicle you wish to test be a skilled mechanic, with at least 4 years full-time employment in the service and repair of cars and vans. have a suitable level 3 qualification (please see list below) have no unspent convictions for criminal offences connected with the MOT testing scheme or the motor trade, or involving acts of violence or intimidation and be of good repute. Who Should Attend The IMI Level 2 Award in MOT Testing (Classes 4 and 7), has been developed for individuals who would like to improve their career by becoming qualified MOT Testers. The course is run over four days with the final assessments being conducted on day 4. Pre-course training material will be sent through 2 weeks before start date to complete prior attendance. The assessments consists of an online test of 40 questions and a demonstration MOT where you will be observed carrying out a full MOT demo test. The theory part of the test is ‘open book’ which means you will be able to use reference materials such as the MOT Testers Manual during the test. The pass mark for this test is 80%. Learners wishing to undertake this course MUST poses a good standard of written and spoken English as all MOT training and testing is conducted in English.
