The word retreat means two things:
'The act of withdrawing from something difficult and dangerous'
'To move away from danger.'
During this retreat, we are, in some ways, asking your people to do both. 
We need you to retreat from the workplace where the stress is and where you are easily contacted to make decisions and solve problems. We do this so that you can enter an environment where we can gain your complete attention, where you feel 'off duty', and where you can relax surrounded by colleagues who want to make the most out of the time they have together. 
The moving away from danger is facilitated by you all proving that the environment is confirmed as psychologically safe so anyone can say anything or challenge anyone, (politely, professionally and respectfully). 
This event focuses on what requires developing, discusses it in a psychologically safe environment, and develops ideas to take back and experiment with. 
This retreat is not a one-size-fits-all event. It is specifically designed to address your organisation's unique needs, requirements, and desired outcomes. By tailoring the retreat to your specific context, we believe we can maximise its impact and ensure that it aligns with your strategic goals, values, and organisational culture.
It can be for:
Top executives.
A combination of your top executives and senior leadership.
A mix of your organisation's top decision-makers, HR, directors, managers, team leaders and colleagues.
Or any other mix that you prefer.
Numbers can range from about nine individuals to around 30 people. The venue for the event, along with transport, accommodation, and meals, are booked by the organisation taking part. We will guide you through the requirements for the location.
The retreat weekend can be Friday and Saturday, Saturday and Sunday or Sunday and Monday. Alternatively, this can be held during the working week.

This course is for people who would be responsible for the leading the IQA process within an organisation. This includes managing or coordinating the work of a team of quality assurers. How do I attend?

CLASSROOM OPTION - Attend one of our scheduled classroom locations, completing your Introduction to Phlebotomy Course over 2 days. You will also complete your Advanced Training at the end of the first day and your Competency Training at the end of the second day.

Our Introduction to Phlebotomy and Advanced Phlebotomy Training Kits are supplied at no charge when booking our virtual classroom training option.
If you would like to add one or both of these kits to your classroom training option then these are available to add at time of booking. Our comprehensive training kits each mirror the same equipment and supplies used in the classroom and both include detailed video tutorials, allowing you to continue to practice and "hone" your skills after you have completed your practical training.

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM OPTION- Complete your theory training online at home or work, then join us for a one day Zoom session to complete your Introduction to Phlebotomy virtual classroom training, followed by your Advanced Training in the evening of the same day. Our Virtual Classroom option includes two very comprehensive training kits - one for your introductory course and one for your advanced course. This course contains both self-study and live training in online classes and covers the META-Health Level 1 and 2 material. It will take 6 months including 24 live sessions, 2 hours each, mainly in a weekly rhythm. You will get preparatory videos, reading material and tasks that help to understand and integrate the content, while the group sessions focus on demonstrations, discusion of the material, and practical exercises for you. All the time, our trainers and tutors will support you and we’ll be a learning family with an active chatgroup. Altogether you should reckon approximately 5 hours per week.
To cover most time zones, the schedule will be tuesdays at 17:00 GMT (London), starting on 7 January 2025.

We will delve into trauma-responsive processing and communication techniques that are vital for supporting your clients while also nurturing your own emotional well-being. 

Prepared for the Emotional Impact of Your Role
Research from the University of Central Lancashire in 2020 revealed that approximately 60% of emergency services personnel felt unprepared for the psychological impact of their job duties, especially when handling traumatic incidents. Additionally, a 2021 study by the Law Society found that many solicitors experience high levels of stress and burnout, with 70% of respondents reporting that the pressures of their profession significantly affect their mental health.

Based on the evidence-based method of Emotional Logic, this course will introduce you to a healthy adjustment process that avoids unhelpful coping strategies. Instead, it offers practical methods that align with your emotions and personality. You will learn to use an activity pack filled with tools and resources that will help you understand your emotional triggers and patterns, as well as discover the healthy reasons behind them. You will also learn how to prepare yourself for traumatic incidents to lessen their psychological impact. These tools are also effective for processing secondary trauma.

Nicky's aim is to show how easily accessible mark making can be for every level of student and how it can be delivered in a fun and engaging way.
She will also introduce you to her online and face-2-face courses with an opportunity to ask questions.

'Drawing florals for textiles'
Mark making is great way of introducing drawing if you have little to no prior experience. Especially good for students who think they can't draw!
Drawing florals can feel overwhelming, especially without a background in art.
A beginner friendly workshop to produce floral artwork for textile projects.

If you want to join in you will need:
Paper
A dried flower or leaf
Pencil
Ink, or acrylic paint, or powder dyes/transfer dyes - Any medium to work with.
Selection of paint brushes
( also useful is a straw and a water spray)

Real Estate Development cash flows require greater skill and flexibility from Analysts, and an ability to work with simultaneously with project partners. Value add and opportunistic property investments are complex both in their initial scope and their cash flow projections.This course will show delegates how to appraise projects in Excel, incorporate and communicate updates as they happen and ultimately understand how to convert an opportunistic property investment into a core asset that can be sold on.Residual models (profit &amp; site) are demonstrated first to illustrate the main components of any scheme and the traditional methods of evaluation such as profit on cost ratio, rental yield and interest cover. Development cash flows are then constructed in detail looking in particular at phased income as well as fixed, variable and incidental construction costs and their impact on the net cash flow. Additional performance metrics are calculated including geared IRR and return on equity.Development financing can be trickier than straightforward senior debt investment financing. This is because finance is often required in stages. The brought forward carried forward method demonstrated on the course, is the easiest way to deal with programmed debt drawdown functions and rolled-up interest.The assessment of project specific risk is arguably much more important in development schemes. Sensitivity analysis and scenario analysis are covered in the final section of the course.
