You need to go to a test centre to do this &ndash; in Bristol, this is located at&nbsp;Third Floor North Building, Crescent House, Temple Back, Bristol, BS1 6EZ.The first part of the theory is a computerised multiple-choice test of 50 questions and you need to pass at least 43 of the questions correctly. The second part is the hazard perception test which consists of fifteen video clips. You will need to identify the hazards in the clips and the sooner you notice the hazard the higher mark You will need to score a minimum of 44 out of 75 to pass the test.You must pass both parts of the test at the same time. The test certificate is valid for 2 years. You are allowed to take practical driving lessons before taking the theory test.I always recommend trying to take two hour lessons. During a two hour session you are able to learn much more, as well as having more time to practice exercises. If you can&#39;t do two hour lessons then its not the end of the world.I also run intensive courses and refresher sessions. Students will learn how easy it is to use 3D design software (Blender) to create personalised jewellery using Parametric Smart Objects. Students will also learn transferable 3D design skills as a wide range of items can be created using Parametric Smart Objects.
This video course is aimed at anyone who wishes to create their own personalised jewellery without having to invest in any equipment or software (all software is Open Source and hence downloadable for free from the internet). We use Blender as the main software and we will show you how to setup Blender for jewellery design and how to install special addons for Blender that make jewellery design easier. Using the software tool Blender (used by millions) coupled with the JewelCraft addon and with the added function of using FluidDesigner Parametric Smart Objects created by the author of this course anyone can create their own jewellery with ease. This combination of software allows the user to simply join objects together to create complex 3D printable jewellery, and other useful objects, with little technical skill or knowledge. Anyone can create their own personalised jewellery and get it 3D printed at Shapeways, an online manufacturer who you simply upload your file to get made in silver, gold, bronze, plastic, etc., or even print at home on a desktop printer in wax (which can then be set to your local casting house) or alternatively cheap disposable plastic jewellery can made on a home printer. You will learn transferable 3D design skills as a wide range of items can be created using Parametric Smart Objects.

This short introduction (10 mins) explains HTC (HTC stands for Heating Transfer Coefficient).&nbsp;It also helps people understand the movement of heat - how it moves at different speeds into the home and out of the home.SmartHTC (which uses an algorithm designed by Build Test Solutions) is a new way to measure how much heat a home needs. It is more accurate than using U-value calculations. A U-value calculation involves multiplying the U-value by areas. However, this makes the assumption that each square meter of a wall performs exactly the same. In reality, each square meter in a wall will perform differently.&nbsp;This is due to a number of factors e.g. insulation in one area of the wall may be installed in a much better way than another part of the wall. Also, a U-value calculation can not determine how well a window has been fitted.&nbsp;REMEMBER: A U-VALUE CALCULATION IS STILL REQUIRED FOR YOUR MCS WORKThis introduction course is being provided as initial training into HTC so that engineers can become familiar with the new technology. It can also help other people understand the movement of heat.&nbsp;

Course Overview


Teaching
the theory and practise of suicide intervention skills that can be applied in
any professional or personal setting, captured in a one-day event accredited by
City and Guilds of London. We use only the most experienced suicide prevention
trainers to deliver this unique learning experience: for anyone who seeks
greater understanding and confidence to intervene with people at risk of
suicide. 
   The
Suicide First Aid through Understanding Suicide Intervention (SFAUSI) course
gives learners the knowledge and tools to understand that suicide is one of the
most preventable deaths and some basic skills can help someone with thoughts of
suicide stay safe from their thoughts and stay alive. 


Course Content
SFAUSI is comprised of 4 parts, each 90 minutes duration. The
programme teaches and practices the skills and knowledge needed to identify
someone who may be thinking about suicide and competently intervene to help
create suicide- safety as a first aid approach.

Taught
over 6 hours using tutor facilitated Socratic learning, tutor-led practise
session, mini lectures, group work and audio-visual presentations. This is a
highly interactive and emotionally engaging learning experience. 


Pre-training requirement


No previous experience or training is necessary. Participants will be asked to self-reflect and empathise with a person having thoughts of suicide. There is no expectation on participants to share personal experiences.
