A pregnancy massage is a specially adapted gentle and soothing massage tailored specifically for a woman during her pregnancy. It can ease aches and pains, as well as facilitating relaxation and preparation for labour. This course, worth 14 CPD points, is designed for those who have already completed their basic pregnancy massage course but would like further knowledge to be able to offer a more in depth service.
This course is intended for anyone who has already undertaken basic body massage/sports massage training and would like to develop their knowledge of common injuries affecting the upper limbs which may lead clients to book a treatment, with self help measures that they can suggest to their clients. This course can also introduce students to upper limb injuries prior to undertaking a sports massage course and to gain further insight into upper injuries from a more medical viewpoint after undertaking sports massage training.
This course is designed for anyone wanting to specialise in childhood disability or cerebral palsy, and offers understanding of the condition as well as how to identify gait patterns and how to adjust techniques to suit the type of cerebral palsy that a child will present with.
This course is intended for anyone who has already undertaken basic body massage/sports massage training, and would like to develop their knowledge of common conditions affecting the hips, pelvis, groin and gluteal area, with self help measures that can be suggested to clients, or to introduce someone to some common injuries prior to undertaking a sports massage course. The course will help students to gain further insight into injuries from a more medical viewpoint.
The trauma massage course is designed to inform about different types of trauma, including domestic abuse, early childhood abuse, rape and also takes a look at post traumatic stress disorder. The course includes all information that is required to ensure a safe massage treatment for any client who has unresolved trauma, taking into account any precautions.
This course looks at many of the common medical conditions that massage clients may present and will help to develop your knowledge of the relevant and physiology so that you can better understand when there is a contraindication or when precautons are needed. this will enable you to treat clients more safely and effectively and to offer preventive measures that they can doat home to ease their symptoms.
