Climate Fresk is a charity that developed a serious game comprising of 42 cards, based on UN reports (IPCC 6th assessment report).
Through a fun and collaborative 3-hour workshop, participants will:
LEARN > players create a mural mapping the causes and consequences of climate change with the cards.
GET CREATIVE > participants are invited to decorate and find a title to their mural.
DISCUSS SOLUTIONS > after debriefing on their emotions, participants have to come up with solutions to tackle climate change, on the personal and professional fronts, based on what they learned.
Experienced facilitators lead participants through the process to make this an engaging and inclusive training experience.

Course outcomes
The MHFA Refresher course takes four hours to complete and will enable learners to: 
Keep their knowledge, awareness, and skills of mental health support current
Update their knowledge of mental health and what influences it
Practice applying the Mental Health First Aid action plan
Once you have completed your MHFA Refresher course, you will be certified for three years. You will also be invited to become or stay a member of MHFA England's Association of Mental Health First Aiders, making sure you have everything you need to feel confident when supporting others.


Completed a different mental health first aid course, you can still complete this refresher to maintain your MHFAider status
As part of the MHFA vision to improve the mental health of the nation, we are now able to accept other Level 3 qualifications from other providers as entry points for this course.

Please note that the course will take a minimum of 14 hours of independent learning with the option of completing further hours by covering more than one age bracket - the live sessions will be in addition to these 14 hours. Please ensure you allocate enough learning time to complete this course. It is expected that all independent learning is finished before the review events to enable you to fully participate in the discussions.

Details 
Using pre-recorded training, interactive on-line content (through Padlet), self-directed learning and live events, this substantial and comprehensive blended training course keeps delegates interested, engaged and learning new ways to bring excellence to their 24-hour postural care provision and focuses on the often neglected lying position and how unsupported lying drives changes to a person's body shape which impacts sitting, standing and functional movement. 

You will have access to the online learning from 23rd April 2025 and be provided with all the information you will need to complete the course. At 1pm (BST) on 23rd April you will then join the trainers for an introductory event via Zoom to provide an outline of the training and to answer any questions you may have. Over the next few weeks you can access the pre-recorded training videos and interactive online content to enable you to complete the workbook. On 4th June 2025 there will be a series of live discussion events for the specific ages the course covers to assess your learning (you must attend at least one of these events - please see below for further information). 

Why? 
People with complex needs, deserve a thorough, co-ordinated 24-hour postural care service. We only get one body and yet people with complex disabilities don't always get the 'annual service' afforded the equipment they use.
Posture Positive report (2020) found training is a key aspect to developing resilient and robust 24-hour postural care for people with complex needs. Every person with complex needs or limited movement requires a comprehensive 24-hour postural care service delivered in a personalised way. 

Who? 
The course is suitable for specialist physiotherapists, specialist occupational therapists and other highly trained healthcare professionals working in health, SEN and social care. 
The course breaks down the life span of a person as follows:
0-3 years
Children and young people in education
Adults
Older people and palliative care

Each delegate selects the aspects of the course relevant to their particular area of practice whilst having access to all the course resources.

On completion of the course, it is hoped delegates will be equipped with the knowledge needed to deliver an outstanding, person-centred, 24-hour postural care service.

On 4th June the final live review events with the trainers via Zoom are available for the specific ages that the course covers. You must attend at least one of these live discussion (the one most relevant to your practice) but you are welcome to join all four.

Rachel Wright (BSc) Founder of Born at the Right Time Rachel is author of The Skies I'm Under, finalist 2020 RCN Nursing Awards, trainer, qualified nurse and unqualified mum of three sons; one of whom has severe disabilities and life-limiting epilepsy. Occasionally she ties on her trainers and runs in a vague attempt to counteract her love for Salt ‘n Vinegar crisps, hummus and all things carbohydrate. 

Sarah Clayton (BSc, PGCE) CEO Simple Stuff Works Sarah is passionate about all things postural care. Sounds dull but it turns out that her passion translates into highly contagious enthusiasm. Each week on Zoom, you will meet with others who are dating and share the same desire to date in a healthy, informed way. Rachel will give a short talk, lead you in some reflective activities to improve your dating life, and answer your burning questions about dating. As you get to know each other, you'll learn from and support each other too. The course aims to enable you to enjoy healthier, intentional and more empowered dating experiences.
The six week dating programme involves various activities, exercises and assessments, should be fun as well as challenging, and is supported by Rachel’s Dating Workbook (which you will need to buy) and various handouts.

Session 1: Celebrating yourself 
Aims:
To think about why you are dating and what you want from it
To feel good about yourself and give off the right vibe

Session 6: Dating etiquette and communicating your needs

To use and interpret non-verbal communication on dates
