Join us on Mon Sep 23 2024 at 18:30 GMT for a unique experience that combines mindfulness and photography. We deliberately keep our sessions limited to small numbers so that we all have a chance to talk to each other and have interactive discussion. In this online session, Rebecca will guide you through the art of capturing moments with intention and awareness. Learn how to slow down, observe your surroundings, and create beautiful images that reflect your thoughts and feelings. Here is some feedback from a recent session we ran this springtime. I think you will agree these are big changes and we are so proud to be part of them! I felt the session was really inclusive. I feel more mindful and in the present moment. The process is transferable and “you can do it anywhere”. I feel my wellbeing is supported, and I feel more in control. I understand myself better, I accept myself. It supports my creativity and self-expression which I hadn’t always fully acknowledged. I realise I had a fear of making mistakes, but by being in a group I feel so supported. I feel more physically active. I feel more self-aware and have increased my self-knowledge. I feel more empowered to do things and make changes in my life and in my community. Frequently asked questions What is your refund policy? We can accept cancellations up until 48 hours before we begin. We regret, as we are a small CIC, that we cannot take cancellations via email but ask that you log into Eventbrite to cancel your ticket should it be necessary. Do I need any special equipment? No, you need something to take a photograph on, a valid email address and a strong internet connection so that we can communicate over zoom. You would benefit from downloading an app called www.padlet.com to your device but this is not essential. The extension project is entirely optional. What happens after the week long project is finished? You will be invited into a community project or if you live in North Yorkshire you might like to book a 1:1 session with me. Personalised sessions start at £49:99 per person. Do I have to be a photographer? Absolutely not, we assume no prior experience of photography. Is this like therapy? We are not therapists but the process has a gentle and calming effect upon your wellbeing. We will be engaging in simple tasks to encourage mindfulness. We do ask that you are well and happy to engage in a small group session online. We embody respect in our work and we ask that you do the same. Will you be using my images? We never share your images unless you specifically ask for us to. Your image and copyright remains your own. Can I share your lesson content? My friend was already regularly attending the gym and lifting weights – so naturally he was in much better shape (and stronger) than me. I remember feeling really self conscious, I was older than him but considerably skinnier/lankier. I used to hate the way that clothes would sit on me, especially t-shirts, because my arms would be hanging out of the sleeves like little twigs. While we were abroad, we would go to the gym together and train. He would show me exercises to do, explaining how each individual exercise built upon certain muscles groups and from there onwards I was instantly hooked. I remember the first time I left the gym, I felt so good about myself and all of the hard work i’d put in. My muscles were all pumped up from lifting the weights, I felt HUGE… sadly I was not, but I still loved the feeling. As I got more involved in training I started to learn how different things like nutrition and recovery affect your results, so I started to research more and more on how to maximise my progress. After a few years of endless studying and giving my friends advice/tips, some of them actually asked me “why don’t you become a personal trainer?”. I was still studying to be a gas engineer at this point, which was considered a “good and safe” job so I never really gave it much thought. After my third year of my gas engineering apprenticeship I started to really dread going to work, thinking to myself “is this what my life is going to amount to?” Early & dull mornings, dreading ever second spent at work, working for someone else? At this point I knew something had to change but I stuck through my apprenticeship and got my qualification in may 2016. One or two months into being a fully qualified engineer I signed up for a personal training course which started in January 2017. It was a weekend course but I thought this dream was worth giving up my weekends for. By may 2017 I was a fully qualified personally trainer, and I have now worked with hundreds of people world wide. Throughout my journey, even to this day, I’m still learning more and more about training, nutrition, recovery, anatomy and even mindset. I am constantly studying and striving to really help people change not just their body – but their overall attitude towards fitness. I don’t just want my clients to look better, I want my clients to be better. I want to show them how to exert control over their mind, body and how to push themselves to limits they previously never thought possible.

He was an amazing horse who was a complete gentleman with a wicked sense of humour. He was extremely intelligent and very good at reading emotions and feelings; he was gentle and understanding however if you didn’t have a clue, he was capable of giving you a run for your money. He taught us the need for patience and that things in life cannot always be rushed. Over the years, through watching family and friends engaging with him we noticed how his behaviour changed to suit the approaches of the different people he came in contact with. If you were nervous then he was calm, if you were sad he could make you smile. However if you thought you knew more than you actually did, then he wasn’t long in letting you know how wrong you were. His loving and loyal nature made everyone feel at ease and showed us all the benefits of being around horses. Sadly, at the age of 28, after 24 years being part of Wilma’s family and Janis’s friend, he passed over the rainbow bridge. Phantom Our inspiration for Phantom's Legacy We had discussed for many years the possibility of opening a centre to provide therapy and education using horses. From our experience of being around Phantom and his best buddy Basil, we felt this could be possible. We talked a lot about it but never took it any further as we always found some reason not to. Phantom’s passing gave us the kick that we needed as we suddenly realised life is too short not to take the opportunity to help others experience what we learned from Phantom. In attempting to find a fitting memorial we decided that it was time to follow our dreams and keep his memory alive, Phantom’s Legacy was born.
