The First Aid at Work Requalification course is designed to 'requalify' existing First Aiders and gives candidates the opportunity to learn up-to-date best practices. The course is held regularly at our Medical Education Group Education Centre located near Ellesmere Port. Our first aid requalification training gives learners the chance to update their skills through practical, theoretical and scenario based learning. Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of training and be able to perform tasks at floor level. There are no other formal entry requirements but we strongly recommend that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent. The Learner needs to retake the qualification before the certificate expiry date to remain qualified.

RQF level 1 Awareness of Safeguarding The RQF Level 1 Awareness of Safeguarding course is designed to provide individuals with a basic understanding of safeguarding principles and practices. GLH indicates the number of classroom contact hours that the learner will undertake. TQT includes GLH but also takes into account any unsupervised learning and is an estimate of how long the average learner will take to complete the qualification. The minimum classroom contact time of 4 hours should be delivered over a minimum of half a day. The course can be spread over a maximum of 2 weeks, ensuring that each session is a minimum of two hours. The Highfield's Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work Course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, that all organisations must have adequate first aid provision. This 1 day course is suitable for smaller, low risk organisations who feel that the syllabus listed below meets the type of injuries common in your workplace and industry. This course covers the syllabus as laid down by the HSE.

This is a certified course that teaches CPR, AED, First Aid, and Bleeding Control. The course includes bleeding control, including wound packing and tourniquet application. This course certifies for Adult, Child, and Infant CPR.
