Our one day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course covers all the subjects required by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to make this an approved course. However, if you have particular risks in your workplace please let us know in advance of the course so that we can tailor your time with us to include training in those area.  This course provides basic life saving first aid skills and knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, covering: Adult resuscitation (CPR) Burns and scalds Choking adult Communication and casualty care Defibrillator (AED) prompts and pad placement Minor and severe bleeding Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations) Seizures Shock Unresponsive adult Catastrophic bleeding can be added as an optional module for workplaces that require it following your first aid needs assessment.

The Professional Driver 7-Hour Course for One Day Course Introduction: This one-day course is designed to provide professional drivers with the essential knowledge and skills required to operate their vehicles safely and efficiently. The course covers a wide range of topics, including: Licence requirements Personal protective equipment (PPE) Vehicle pre-trip inspections Safe and economic driving Bridge strike avoidance and route planning Vehicle security Overnight parking The course is delivered in a classroom/remote location setting and includes a mix of lectures, interactive discussions, and practical exercises. Participants will also have the opportunity to network with other professional drivers and share their experiences. Who should attend? This course is suitable for all professional drivers, regardless of experience level. This course is ideal for all, from beginners to confident makers with only a few hours to spare. You will learn the basics of leather craft for accessories and be introduced to techniques including machine stitching on leather, hand finishing and hand cutting. You will be working with a hard sturdy veg tanned leather. This is a perfect introductory course to start your journey into Leatherwork and bag making as you will experience the wide variety of tasks involved in the work. In order to complete your belt in a day we will use part pre-prepared components and the purse will be made from a 'Hands of Tym' pattern but do not fear there is still plenty of work for you to do. During the day you will be directed by your tutor Leathersmith and London College of Fashion Lecturer Georgie Tym to make a 'raw edge' Belt sized to fit you exactly with opportunity for personalisation. There will be one buckle as closure and the opportunity to choose leather colours to enable a bespoke piece. The dimensions of the belt are either W38mm or W25mm - length will depend on you! It will be the same design and construction as the belt in the photos featured. Hand embroidery has been practiced for centuries and remains a hugely popular and fulfilling craft today.  As with most crafts, hand embroidery is wide and varied in technique, style and usage.  Traditional crewel embroidery, fine and delicate silk work, contemporary mixed media or modern folk art to name just a few.

New for 2020, this fun workshop will aim to move you on from “in-the-ditch” quilting and from quilting straight lines. Using a variety of techniques we will work on quilting common patchwork shapes to find a style and method that suits you best. This workshop is aimed at those with some quilting experience who are keen to move their skills on in a completely new direction. However, it is suitable for all abilities as full tuition and hand-holding will be provided on the day.
