This mosaic introduction day is an informal creative workshop during which we will make a mosaic plaque providing you with all the skills necessary to start making your own mosaics at home.

Learn an ancient technique, used by the Romans. It is very low tech and wonderful items of jewellery with a professional finish can be produced in a few hours. Students make moulds in plaster or cuttlefish to their own designs, then lead free pewter is poured into the moulds using hand gravity casting. The moulds can be reused to make pendants, earrings, brooches, keyrings and fridge magnets.
One day hands-on courses to make a willow reindeer for the home and garden. Participants are shown how to weave with dried willow using a variety of weaving techniques.
