If you love abstract art and texture then this workshop is for you! You will learn how to mix and blend from a variety of materials from natural stone to plastic beads, stained glass to broken china. What to expect You will be shown how to prepare the base, mix your own adhesive and combine your materials using a range of techniques to create interest and texture. Who is this for? Suitable for beginners, however, those with some mosaic experience are also welcome to join. Always wanted to have a go at mosaic making? This might be the class for you! What to expect A brief introduction and demonstration on mosaic making using the Direct Method. Included will be how to use tile nippers, how to create shapes and an explanation of various andamento styles and how to grout. Please note that grouting will not be done in this class however you will receive a grout bag to take home with full instructions (including a video for reference). Who is this for?
