Join us for the day and learn the Art of Log Cabin Quilting. Log cabin quilting is a traditional form of quilting that has been around for centuries. Really popular during the American Civil War the quilt is made up of strips of material, one half light, the other half dark focused around a central square (representing the heart of the home). This workshop will teach you the principles of Log Cabin Quilting, enabling you to design your own piece, whether it’s a cushion for your Christmas theme or placemats / runner for your Christmas Dinner table, you’re sure to leave with beautifully hand-crafted item for everyone to enjoy.

Join us at Stitching Kitchen for a full day of Wet Felting - you will create series of felt samples from merino wool fibres.

Learn the basics of calligraphy using the foundational hand with local artist Panna Chauhan at The Arienas Collective and create a framed abstract piece to take home.

Creative textiles, spend an inspiring day with Hannah from Stitching Kitchen. Raid the fabric stash, go crazy with embellishments, make use of the machines and fabric paints too - let your imagination really flow.

This mosaic workshop for adult beginners is led by Lindsey, who has worked in 3 and 2D design, along with many years experience of teaching art, design and mosaics. During this one day workshop you will learn how to apply a range of tiles using the direct method onto an MDF or plywood base. There will be a large collection of tile material to choose from and you don’t need any previous design or craft experience. You will learn how to create a colourful mosaic design, use tile nippers safely and learn how to apply tiles to a backing board. There will be a choice of bases to work on. The aim is to explore this fascinating craft in a relaxed and friendly environment.
