This course is ideal for all, from beginners to confident makers with only a few hours to spare. You will learn the basics of leather craft for accessories and be introduced to techniques including machine stitching on leather, hand finishing and hand cutting. You will be working with a hard sturdy veg tanned leather. This is a perfect introductory course to start your journey into Leatherwork and bag making as you will experience the wide variety of tasks involved in the work. In order to complete your belt in a day we will use part pre-prepared components and the purse will be made from a 'Hands of Tym' pattern but do not fear there is still plenty of work for you to do. During the day you will be directed by your tutor Leathersmith and London College of Fashion Lecturer Georgie Tym to make a 'raw edge' Belt sized to fit you exactly with opportunity for personalisation. There will be one buckle as closure and the opportunity to choose leather colours to enable a bespoke piece. The dimensions of the belt are either W38mm or W25mm - length will depend on you! It will be the same design and construction as the belt in the photos featured. The course will be run from the HOME STUDIO of Hands Of Tym in Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX16 9DH Maximum class size is 4 What's included in the price? There are NO ADDITIONAL costs. All leather, hardware and other materials will be included. There will be a selection of leather and hardware colours for you to choose from.The course runs from 2.30pm – 5pm or 10am - 12.30 on a morning session. Following a varied career in Accessories design and development across many roles and international brands I set up Hands of Tym in 2016. A Whiter Shade of Pale with Chris Yates Using mono-printing techniques, stamps and stencils, and your chosen colours of paint, you will create an individual background which can then be used to create positive and negative images. These can then be stitched with hand embroidery resulting in a truely indivdual piece (or two). A word of warning this technique is addictive.

Weaving with a frame loom and a wide range of textured yarns and fabrics you can create a wall hanging in just three hours. Pick your favourite colours and textures from our extensive range of fibres and create something beautiful for your home

Using imprinted details into the clay you will create your own serving board, perfect for charcuterie, cheese or your favourite nibbles. Along side a matching tapas bowl to add extra treats! This will be a lovely relaxed workshop, perfectly suited for beginner potters. Your tutor will guide you through step by step to create your beautiful pieces. There will be a choice of imprinting tools and materials to personalise your piece. Finally you will have a choice of four glaze colours the tutor will complete your work after the bisque firing. Pieces will be ready to collect 3/4 weeks after the workshop.

This is a fun session with games, activities and songs all using the German language. Each session will have a different theme.
