Kristina will help you with tips and techniques for creating beautiful patterns and textures. We will cast and polish your ring in recycled silver (or gold at additional cost depending on weight and carat) and send it back to you in a branded gift box and packaging using sustainable materials to delight you or your loved ones. One to One tutorials are also available. This set of 6 morning workshops (over 6 weeks) is designed to allow you the opportunity to explore a wide range of techniques to create beautifully unique fused glass jewellery & decorative objects. After a brief introduction to the historical context and language of fused glass you will be guided through using techniques such as scoring, cutting £0& layering sheet & accessory glass, adding mica or oxide powders to create sparkle and bubbles, use of kiln carving to create subtle textures, using inclusions of wire & precious metal foils and painting or stencilling with 'glassline' paints etc. you will create at least 2 pieces per session and these will be fired and ready to add finishing touches on the subsequent session ( pieces made during the final date will be fired & finished and ready for collection after 7 days) we will mainly focus on jewellery but larger items can be made eg. Coaster, soap or trinket dishes, seasonal decoration, sun catchers, candle holders. with over 22years teaching experience you can be sure of receiving all the support, guidance and encouragement you need in order to achieve your full creative potential. admin@stratfordschoolofjewellery.co.uk

Our instructor, Louise, is fully qualified as a senior tutor and holds an Art Clay Higher Diploma and has been teaching jewellery making for over ten years. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced jeweller, Louise is on hand to help you create your own cabochon design from silver clay. You'll be guided by Louise to help you make your own pieces for you to treasure and take away! Louise has a relaxed, informal approach with the aim of having fun as well as learning and creating lovely pieces of jewellery.
