This workshop offers a relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful setting of The Stratford School of Jewellery on Henley Street, not far from the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Come and join us to learn a variety techniques used when creating fused glass. You will be introduced to the language of glass fusing, shown how to safely cut & layer sheet and accessory glass, how to incorporate foils, mica and oxide powders. You will focus mainly on creating jewellery items but will also have the opportunity to create a larger decorative item eg coaster, sun catcher, candle holder, soap or trinket dish etc.
No, all equipment and materials will be provided
Unfortunately not on the day as your items will need to go into a kiln for at least 12 hours. Items are usually ready for collection after 7 days or can be posted to you for a fee of £3.50
Yes, the workshop is on the ground floor of the school. There is a multi-storey car park behind the school. The train station is approximately ten minutes walk from the school.
No, you will be shown how to handle the glass and create your designs. Jewellery findings will be added for you once the items have been fired.
