This IMI qualification is designed for technicians who maintain, diagnose and repair high and low voltage operating systems on electric/hybrid vehicles. It contains the skills and knowledge required to work safely around a vehicles high and low voltage electrical system and electric drive train system, whilst carrying out repairs or maintenance. It also contains the knowledge and skills required to work safely around the vehicle that may have had damage to its high energy/electrical system. On completing this qualification, technicians will have gained knowledge of both low and high voltage technologies and an understanding of their dangers. The content of this qualification has been designed to give learners the knowledge and skills required to work safely around Electric/Hybrid vehicles whilst carrying our diagnostic, testing and repair activities.

This is an upgrade to and will replace, the already existing City & Guilds 17th Edition Wiring Regulations all subsequent amendments. Course Description: If you have passed your 17th Edition since the last amendment then you are eligible to take this short 1 day 18th Edition update course! Save time and money by covering the topics you need for the new regulations, without having to go over all that you already know. If you have not yet done the 17th Edition then you will need to take our 3 day 18th Edition course. Changes for 18th Edition are as follows: Protection against overvoltages – Clause 443 is likely to be overhauled. Protection against fire – Chapter 42 will be updated with extra information on arc fault detection Electrical Embedded heating – Section 753 will be extended to include embedded electrical heating systems for surface heating, and will include de-icing and frost prevention systems. Energy efficiency – There will be a brand new section covering energy efficiency Please be aware that the Wiring Regulations course is not designed to teach you every regulation in the book but it will teach you the best practices on how to reference the latest regulations as you would on the job. As such key topics currently covered on the 17th Edition will still be included. City & Guilds The City & Guilds 2382-22 course will replace the current C&G 2382-15 certificate. This upgrade course will outline the change in the regulations and candidates must complete an online, multiple choice exam. Focus: You will study the latest standard of the IEE wiring regulations, including essential subjects such as safety, selection and erection of electrical equipment. Gas ACS Training

Gas ACS Assessment - CKR1 (Cookers)

What is the managed learning programme? This is a package course that has been developed by Logic Certification Limited (LCL) and is recognised by the gas industry’s Standard Setting Body (SSB.) It is a route for experienced trades to learn, develop and build a portfolio within the gas industry. Once this MLP is completed, candidates can then move on to the new entrant ACS assessment, allowing them to be on the Gas Safe Registration. Course Duration: 8 weeks (plus the time taken to complete portfolio) Pre-Requisites Candidates must know how to install hot and cold-water pipework and fittings competently and have 2 years experience in a related trade and/or a recognised qualification. What is gained from this gas course? Upon completion of the MLP, candidates will receive a competence certificate for the range of technique elements, they will also receive an industry recognised MLP training certificate for Logic Certification. Once the MLP is successfully completed, candidates can take the ACS assessment – we can add the ACS assessment to this course for a discounted fee.

18th Edition Course Description: At this time the 18th edition course is a 3 day short course clearly aimed at anyone involved in the design, construction, inspection and testing of electrical installations & systems, equally it is a nationally recognised ‘must have’ qualification for companies seeking to recruit electricians, or indeed individuals joining Part P Schemes. Every electrical installation that was designed to the 18th edition regulations (which was released in July 2018) or all electrical installations from 2019 onwards will have been to the 18th edition of the IET Wiring Regulations BS7671 2018. Firstly it is intended to introduce the candidate to a working knowledge of the Wiring Regulations (BS7671 IET) whilst also giving a brief overview of the Electricity at Work Regulations covering their statutory duties. Previous knowledge of the regulations is not assumed, however, a fundamental knowledge of electrical principles is assumed. Please be aware that the 18th Edition course is not designed to teach you every electrical regulation in the BS7671 nevertheless it will teach you the best practices on how the reference the latest regulations as you would on the job. As such key topics currently covered on the 17th Edition will still be included. The examination is a 2 hour multiple choice, open book PC meaning you will be allowed to take a copy of the BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 IET WIRING REGULATIONS just as you would in the real world. It is also a PC based examination with instant results. The course cost includes examination entry fees. On completion of the training and Examination you will be awarded with the 18th edition qualification City & Guilds 2382.
