Four weeks of revision exercises, study stories and feedback exchange for flash fiction authors.

Developing creative writing skills with a focus on imaginative writing, structuring, spelling, grammar and punctuation. The aim of the workshops is to help students to have written, or have made good progress on writing, their own 500 Word Short Story. We will be focussing on increasing range of vocabulary and language technique choices, along with introducing more advanced ideas about structuring stories; developing skills specifically pertinent to the Creative Writing tasks given in the English Language GCSE. These lessons are created for students ready to delve into diverse aspects of English. Students will enhance their reading and analytical skills through studying a variety of texts, including novels, plays and poetry from different genres and historical periods. They’ll develop their creative and non-fiction writing abilities, focusing on grammar, punctuation and effective communication.
