This Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) course is part of our Site Safety Plus suite of training courses and it is designed to provide participants with a thorough and detailed knowledge of what the role of a temporary works supervisor involves. Overview This course will give you some important in depth knowledge of the role of a Temporary Works Supervisor, as well as an understanding of temporary works and the risk management involved. COURSE DURATION: The course lasts for 1 day This training is designed to teach the following: – Understanding risk management when applied to temporary works. – The role of the temporary works supervisor in co-operation, co-ordination, communications and competency while managing temporary works. – The legal duties, roles and responsibilities of the temporary works supervisor. – The role of any other temporary work processes. – Any understanding of the relevant aspects of the temporary work supervisor if BS 5975:2008+A1:2011. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: In order to enroll in this course you will need to have experience managing all forms of temporary works. Also, you should have a basic understanding of written and spoken English, as the course materials and instruction are all in English. A CSCS Card is required in order to access many construction sites, carry out basic duties and build relevant experience to enable them to progress their career onto the next stage allowing them to progress to a level 2 or 3 Qualification. This Level 1 Award will provide the basic knowledge and understanding of health and safety principles and procedures and delivers a comprehensive and technical overview in relation to many construction relevant topics that are operatives require in order to operate safely within the Construction sector. Candidates can undertake this qualification in a classroom based delivery followed by the CSCS test within a single day. The administration and photographs are included and the CSCS card is usually received within 5 to 10 days. The one day course can be delivered in any client venue or at various locations around the UK.

First Aid at Work (RQF) accredited course delivered by Health Care Professionals

The Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, specifically designed for those wishing to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. Throughout this 1 day course, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including administering CPR, using a defibrillator, dealing with wounds and bleeding, minor injuries and more.

Basic Life Support Qualification Four Hours Cost:  £40 + vat per person A maximum of 12 students can be accommodated on this course, and all candidates must be a minimum of 14 years of age to qualify. SYLLABUS This regulated Level 2 Basic Life Support qualification will give learners the skills, knowledge and practical competence to administer First Aid until Professional Medical help arrives. It is particularly suitable for healthcare professionals for the purpose of Continual Professional Development (CPD. SYLLABUS A range of subjects are covered including: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Primary Survey Choking Assessment and Marking Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Recovery Position CERTIFICATION This qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement. The learner will need to complete the full course again to qualify for a further three years. It is recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training.
