Her work at the John Radcliffe Hospital's Gynaecology department, where she held a special interest in Gynaecology, sparked her enthusiasm for assisting women in navigating the various facets of menopause. Dr. Barber's expertise is further underlined by her Advanced Certificate of Menopause Care from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare and her accreditation as a British Menopause Society specialist and Menopause trainer in Oxfordshire. She served as the Clinical Lead for the NHS Menopause service at the John Radcliffe in Oxfordshire until March 2021 and currently holds the role of Clinical Lead for the NHS Community Gynaecology Service in Oxfordshire. An introduction to Lino Printmaking is a half-day course designed to give a basic outline of the medium to newcomers. The course will give students an outline of the materials used and how the process works, from creating an image, through transferring it onto Lino and then producing the prints themselves.

Lee Furniture offer a beginners course in Box Making. The tuition is one on one. This course is for the beginner interested in making furniture. Throughout the day we will make a box (see images) in solid Oak/Ash (Timber dependant on stock) There is an option to upgrade the box to Walnut timber during the course!! The course is hands on and will be based around using tools and machinery to plane and join for your box, use of hand tools to include the correct use of: Marking out tools Planes Chisels Scrapers Power tools There will be demonstrations throughout the day including chisel sharpening, planing and cutting wood. Unlike courses of this type elsewhere, this is a making course, not just assembling pre-cut planed components, you will plane from scratch sawmill-provided timber. At the end of the day you will have achieved the making of a solid oak box, and learned some of the techniques used in cabinet making. The Box is finished with modern style hinges and a oil/wax finish.. What's included in the price? Wood is included in the course for practising your new skills. Tea and coffee included for the day.
