The QA Level 3 Award in Administering Emergency Oxygen (RQF) qualification has been designed for those who are responsible for providing care to casualties where the administration of emergency oxygen may be required.  Over a half day period, candidates will learn about the clinical need for emergency oxygen and the safety considerations of this, as well as how to administer emergency oxygen when dealing with a range of conditions. Successful candidates will leave the course with the knowledge and skills needed to administer emergency oxygen both safely and effectively.  Achievement of this qualification confirms candidates have met both the theoretical and practical requirements, however, it does not imply a ‘license to practice’ – the scope of practice is determined by the organisation responsible for oxygen provision. This qualification does not allow candidates to obtain, store or administer oxygen without clinical governance.

2 Day Course - Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage, Modelling and Post Op Care - Nurture Touch Method Service Description What is the difference between Vodder and Brazilian MLD? The main difference between the two methods lies in their approach and purpose. Vodder MLD is a clinical treatment that focuses on the manual stimulation of the lymph nodes, combining slow, circular, and scoop-like motions to move the lymphatic fluid towards the larger lymphatic vessels for proper drainage and filtration. Vodder MLD is commonly used to treat conditions such as lymphedema. Brazilian MLD is primarily designed for cosmetic purposes and is performed to enhance the appearance of the skin and reduce water retention in the body. This technique emphasises vigorous hand movements and pressure on the skin, stimulating the lymphatic system to reduce the appearance of cellulite, sculpt the body, firm the skin, and promote post op healing and care. The QA Level 3 Award in Administering Emergency Medical Gases (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification that has been specifically designed for those who have a responsibility for providing treatment to patients who need medical gases administering in prehospital environments. During this 1 day course, candidates will learn how to safely administer emergency oxygen, pre-operational inspections for oxygen therapy equipment and the clinical need for oxygen therapy when dealing with a range of conditions. Successful candidates will leave with the skills, knowledge and competencies needed to safely administer prompt and effective medical gases in an emergency situation.

This course is available to those who have already completed a dry needling foundation course and wish to add acupuncture for pain relief to their toolbox. Only acupuncture points and clinical reasoning will be taught mostly within a western framework, but traditional Chinese medicine will be explained as well. This could also be beneficial to someone who wishes to return to using acupuncture, but has not practiced for some time. To successfully complete this course there will be a short practical test and a 2000 word case study to ensure that a sufficient level of competancy and understanding has been achieved to safely practice acupuncture.
