A full day pottery experience in our studio in Golborne, nr Warrington, Cheshire. This pottery workshop is suitable for complete beginners. Phoenix Pottery and Art Studio offers adult and family pottery classes and art and crafts. Close to Warrington, Wigan and Surrounding Northwest area. Easy access from the motorway network . Only 20 miles from Manchester and Liverpool.

This workshop is open to beginners as well as intermediate-level students, so you can take your time and learn at your own pace. You'll be guided through all the steps of making jewellery from scratch, so you'll leave feeling confident in your skills whatever level you work at. The week is designed around you and you needs and aims. We'll have everything on hand that you need, including the silver clay and tools. We even provide the accommodation and endless tea and coffee to keep you refreshed throughout the retreat. The week will be an immersive experience that helps you feel like part of our family here at Gifted Crafts.

This Ceramic Arts course delves into the technical processes that define the craft. You'll learn about the chemistry of clay and glazes, uncovering the scientific principles that enable the transformation of raw materials into intricate ceramic works.

Figurative Sculpture In this day long course we will explore all aspects of creating a life size clay sculpture of a characterful human face. We will also start to explore the creation of a ‘beautiful’ face that you will be able to take home to finish… it can take many hours to complete something as complex. We will be using a special armature unique to the Sculpture Workshop and a wonderfully forgiving specialist clay. We’ll explore how expression and emotion manifest on the face. This workshop is great fun and light hearted, we don’t use jargon or judgement, anyone of any ability can join us and have a brilliant time engaging with their own creative potential.

How to book a space on an Exhibition Talk or Taster The Exhibition Talks, demos and drop-ins are free of charge, however spaces are limited and it would be helpful if you could book using the links below so that we have an idea of numbers. Select your choice of Talk or Taster below and the link will take you to the booking page. If it's already sold out, you can add your name to the waiting list. There is a nominal fee of £5 towards the cost of materials payable for the Exhibition Tasters, and spaces are limited. The £5 is also fully redeemable against the purchase of a workshop space (collect your exhibition voucher at the end of your Exhibition Taster). We recommend booking in advance to secure a spot. Any remaining spaces will be made available to book on the day.
