WOUND CARE AND MANAGEMENT. INTRODUCTION FOR HEALTH CARE ASSISTANTS AND NURSES

This is an online course sat at your own pace to introduce you to clinical coaching. As an Abbeydale training practice the cost of this course is including with the annual TP fee. During the course we will go into the concept of training a student, learning methods, tutorial techniques, safeguarding and how to use the Central Skills Log (CSL). The course is open for 2 months. Once completed we can then arrange access to the CSL for one of Abbeydale’s students.

The Art of Delegation and High-Impact Feedback: Virtual In-House Training Whether you are a project manager, an executive, or simply someone involved in leading or helping others, a critical part of your work must involve delegating and giving feedback. These two skills, however, are not as simple as they seem. How do you know what to Partcipant? What kinds of feedback should you give? Knowing this and practicing this are two different things. Ultimately, delegating and giving feedback are skills that must be done mindfully, strategically, and meaningfully. They must be done in ways that not only positively impact performance, but also inspire growth, engagement, and motivation. When done poorly, they can create significant problems. But when done well, they can generate value for everyone and benefit future endeavors. In today's fast-changing competitive environment, people in all roles need to have more commercial awareness and responsibility.

Delegates will develop knowledge of the requirements for the design, installation and commissioning of Fire Detection and Fire Alarm systems within domestic properties in compliance with the requirements of BS 5839-6 and other codes of practice.

Learners will develop knowledge from the FD&FA maintenance module (C01M05) and/or industry experience and apply this to the ‘recommendations for special inspection on the appointment of a new servicing organization’.

It is a requirement within codes of practice e.g., BS 5839-1, and within legislation e.g., Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, that duties are placed upon employers and employees regarding health & safety and in particular electrical safety.

Prerequisite: PECS Level 1 Training This two-day training focuses on creating lessons and activities to promote communication throughout the day. Beginning with a review of the Pyramid Approach to Education as it relates to PECS, we guide you in refining your PECS implementation and discuss current challenges you have experienced within the six phases. As you acquire teaching strategies on expanding vocabulary and syntax combined with new ideas for materials, we will discuss how to increase communication opportunities for your learner. Throughout the training, you will be provided with presenter demonstrations, video examples and opportunities to role-play. With innovative ideas, increased confidence and renewed enthusiasm, you will leave the PECS Level 2 Training ready to move PECS users to more sophisticated levels of communication. All delegates will receive a certificate of attendance detailing eligible CPD hours which can be used as verifiable documentary evidence when submitting CPD recording forms.
