Join us for a FREE Tea 'N Chat with NICKY SIMPSON who will demo and lead a mini workshop on mark making for textiles and she will talk about her online courses.

Nicky's aim is to show how easily accessible mark making can be for every level of student and how it can be delivered in a fun and engaging way.
She will also introduce you to her online and face-2-face courses with an opportunity to ask questions.

'Drawing florals for textiles'
Mark making is great way of introducing drawing if you have little to no prior experience. Especially good for students who think they can't draw!
Drawing florals can feel overwhelming, especially without a background in art.
A beginner friendly workshop to produce floral artwork for textile projects.

If you want to join in you will need:
Paper
A dried flower or leaf
Pencil
Ink, or acrylic paint, or powder dyes/transfer dyes - Any medium to work with.
Selection of paint brushes
( also useful is a straw and a water spray)

We are hosting a FREE virtual co-working session, to help qualitative researchers get their work done in a supportive and motivating space.
The virtual Zoom session will have two main rooms, one for quiet working (with optional text chat) and one for taking breaks and chatting over voice and video. Join whenever you'd like, bring anything you'd like to work on, and enjoy a focused and friendly co-working space. If you need some motivation you can set goals or pop a to-do list in the chat when you join the session and update us as you cross items off, or you can just enjoy a relaxed environment for working alongside other researchers.
