An enriching and creative day led by artist and art educator Lucy Perry to immerse students in floral forms through expressive and painterly techniques. SATURDAY 9th August 2025 Beautiful Brusho Blooms: Join me to explore the magic of wax resist and Brusho watercolour dyes, surrounded by summer blooms. I will you show how to use these incredible pigments in exciting ways, take you through the exercises I use to loosen up and produce expressive florals, and help you to create a stunning painting to take home. The day starts with some quick observational drawing exercises in the garden to get to know our glorious subject matter. Lucy will guide students through explorations of colourful blooms in Brusho watercolour dyes, creating vibrant and lively studies using expressive brushwork techniques, wax resist and dip pen with ink. As the day unfolds, students will be able to use these new skills to paint a bouquet of summer flowers. Who is this course for? This course is for anyone who loves natural forms and wants to find exciting ways to explore them artistically. You might be at the beginning of your art journey or you might be an artist or designer with lots of experience but looking for new ideas and the opportunity to take part in new art practices with like-minded folk...new ways of seeing, leading to new possibilities. It will also provide you with an opportunity to relax and focus on mindful activities; restorative and connected to nature. What is included? This One -day class teaches the safe and efficient use of electric filing machines. Electric files can add to the overall professionalism of your service and help reduce the strain on hands, arms, and shoulders. The course is suitable for both the inexperienced electric file user and for the experienced technician. THE REQUIREMENTS Salon attire must be worn during the course. Student must have one (right if you work with right hand) hand with clean nail without enhancements and left hand with nail enhancement which have 2-3 weeks growth for infill/backfill and long hair tied back. To ensure maximum practice, students will be required to work on each other throughout the day or on own hands or practice hand. To attend this course must have 3-month experience working with nails enhancement (Gel or Acrylic) Please bring your own acrylic or gel brush and product, cuticle pusher, nippers and if possible, your own Electric File. In case you do not own any of these you can buy them from us.
