Our 2 day course will enable students who have successfully completed a Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (QCF or RQF) to re-certify. This first aid at work course is ideal for organisations whose needs assessment has identified a requirement for additional first aid training, such as having employees with a disability or a medical condition. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with injuries to bones, muscles and joints. Assess an incident. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected head and spinal injuries. Manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected chest injuries. Manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with burns and scalds. Be able to recognise and assist a casualty who is choking. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with an eye injury. Be able to manage a casualty with external bleeding. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with sudden poisoning. Be able to manage a casualty who is in shock. Be able to conduct a secondary survey. Who should attend? This qualification is for people who deal with first aid at work. Enabling them to be workplace first aiders under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. This qualification is also for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities. This will allow them to provide basic first aid to people in a range of situations. Pre-requisites Students must be at least 14 years old on the first day of training. Students must be in possession of an in date First Aid at Work Certificate. Assessment and Certifications Assessment of this course is continuous and includes two theory/multiple choice question papers. Successful students will receive an Immerse Training Certificate, which is valid for three years. This certificate will be issued by Qualsafe, the awarding body for Immerse Training. Additional Information Completion of the Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work includes 3 credits at Level 3 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). The City & Guilds 2365 Level 3 Course is the natural progression for anyone who has completed the Level 2 Diploma 2365 course or related level 2 courses. On completion of this course you will then be able to undertake the Level 3 NVQ thus becoming recognised as a fully qualified electrical engineer within the industry with the ability to apply for JIB (Gold Card) membership upon successful completion of the AM2 Assessment. Learn to carve wood starting with this nice little project of a Dala horse. The basic shape has been formed using a bandsaw so you will add detail and learn about carving following the grain of the wood. You will learn safe wood carving techniques using the Mora 120 & 106 wood carving knives, or other Mora knives more suitable for children. Some of these safe carving techniques are the same as those used for carving a range of other treen such as spoons. This is a less strenuous carving project than making a spoon so is also ideal for beginners. We will also cover sharpening knives as this is key to safe carving. The QA Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who want to increase their awareness of fire safety in the workplace.  Candidates will learn basic fire safety principles in order to ensure they are keeping themselves and others in the workplace safe at all times. We're gonna kick off our workshop together with this really relaxing meditation – complete with crystals and incense – to quiet that busy mind and find the right focus and concentration you need to create your mandala. Once you're feeling ready and calm, you'll create your own personal mandala using different beans, letting your imagination run wild. (we'll glue them on paper) While you're working, I'll be sharing the history, process, and meaning behind mandalas in a super easy way – we'll explore everything from how they show up in nature to their role in religion and art. I'll show you some incredible pictures of mandalas from around the world that'll blow your mind. When your wonderful work is done, I'll guide you through a creative visualization to reconnect with your inner center. Then here's the beautiful part – you'll choose 3 beans from your mandala and plant them with some cotton and water by your window at home. You get to watch them germinate and grow, and they'll become your new seeds for the coming months. Did you know that incorrect manual handling is one of the most common causes of injury at work?  The QA Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, designed to cover the basic principles of manual handling.  This theory-based qualification is ideal for all employees as it provides candidates with an awareness of safe manual handling practices and the risks of unsafe manual handling.  With subjects covered in just half a day, this course is an ideal way to reduce the risk of workplace manual handling injuries, whilst minimising disruption to your organisation’s day to day activities!  Please note that this qualification does not include practical sessions. Those requiring practical training should undertake the QA Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF).

The course will introduce you to some of the most enduring photographic portraits and provide discussion on why they remain so seminal. The course includes an introduction to lighting and composition techniques for portraiture, as well as providing guidance on shutter speed, aperture, lenses, and other visual controls. You will use studio flash lighting to explore basic techniques in formal and informal portrait photography – though all of the techniques taught are transferrable to natural and other lighting media.
