Working within Heath and Social Care settings often involves moving, lifting, or otherwise manually handling the people within your care. This moving and handling training course is designed to educate learners regarding both the requirements and risks associated with moving people safely. Learners will also participate in practical moving & positioning enabling competency sign-off.

What you'll do Have you ever wanted to create your own unique furniture? During this one day experience you’ll transform a pallet into a one-off piece of furniture for your home. First you'll find out how to source materials and discover the tools and techniques you’ll need to prepare your pallets for upcycling. Once Scott has introduced you to the workshop space, you’ll use a mix of hand and power tools to create your own piece, from a shoe or wine rack to a bird feeder, storage box or even a small bookcase. With your experience host's guidance, you'll leave with your own finished upcycled item. All materials, tools and safety equipment will be provided for you on the day. Everyone will have their temperature taken at the beginning of each day. Hand washing will be compulsory at set times during the courses. Face masks will be compulsory during the specific parts of the course where you will be breathing heavily due to exertion. The remainder of the course we will have face shields available as an option to facemasks. Face shields will be provided. But please bring your own face mask. On the day You don't need any previous woodwork experience, just some enthusiasm! Please wear old clothes (or something that you don’t mind getting damaged or torn) and sensible, closed toe footwear. Work boots are recommended. Tea and coffee will be available throughout the day, but please bring along your own packed lunch. Course Location courses can be either in Glastonbury or at Scott's own workshop near the Bath and West show grounds (BA46QN) and will be confirmed.

Paediatric First Aid (12 Hour) Description: This two-day paediatric first aid course focuses on emergency scenarios that face those looking after young children and infants, including day nurseries, private nursery schools, pre-schools, before and after school clubs for children in the early years age group, childminders, parents and carers of children at home. Designed around the needs of all child carers, our paediatric first aid courses place emphasis on dealing with sick or injured children and babies. Our 12 hour course syllabus exceeds the Ofsted Early Years and Childcare Register requirements. Our professional trainers utilise both practical and theory sessions. Learners receive a Paediatric First Aid guide book, a training dressing and a CPR barrier protection device.Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and care of the unconscious requires physical effort. Learners should be capable of working with casualties at floor level. Learners are assessed continually by the trainer. The HSE strongly recommend that all First Aiders undertake annual refresher training of at least 3 hours per year. This half day course is designed to help managers and supervisors to develop or hone their interviewing skills and ensure that your organisation’s recruitment processes are rigorous but fair. It will cover how to develop an efficient recruitment process, how to read a CV or application form to ensure that you choose the right candidates for interview, how to organise and conduct the interview process and the follow-up procedures. It can be adapted to cover the needs of organisations, statutory agencies or small businesses. Although scheduled as a half day course, it can be extended to cover a whole day to include some role play interviews.

A Photography lesson for beginners. This photography lesson is between 1-2 hours long and take you specifically through your camera settings and how it functions before introducing you the golden triangle of photography: Shutter Speed; Aperture; ISO - It can be done online or in person.

This course is for 16+ candidates who are absolute beginners and are interested in the recording, production and engineering of music and sound. Candidates will learn to develop and practice their skills using a variety of sound equipment and DAW software. Explored skills are basic recording studio operations (live studio sessions), the use of loop sequencing software, and an introduction to audio and MIDI editing techniques.  Day: Monday & Wednesday evenings (one academic year) Times: 6pm - 9pm Who is this course for?  This course is an entry-level precursor and prepares learners for the full Level 2 Music Technology qualification. More able learners can also do the parallel Level 2 course if desired. What will I learn?  This will include course objectives. •Use Midi sequencing and software •Use Midi & Audio techniques •How to use computerized file location, file saving and backup procedures •Record and mix down a combination of MIDI and AUDIO materials •How to build a portfolio of evidence to show development of your work.

A six week introduction to scentwork for pet dogs. Take the first steps to discovering the incredible power of a dog's nose. This class will cover the basics of search, scent ID, and indication. Each dog will work one at a time and free from the distraction of other dogs, allowing them to work at their own level in a comfortable and relaxed environment, making this activity accessible to reactive dogs. DOGS ATTENDING THIS CLASS MUST BE HAPPY AND ABLE TO REST IN THE CAR OR CRATE BETWEEN WORKING TIMES.
