(8-10yrs) Tap uses a different skill set to Ballet and Jazz as the emphasise is on creating rhythm and sound using footwork. Due to the nature of Tap, the physicality of the work is mainly focused on the legs, hips, knees and ankles and of course those tapping feet! Tap teaches a great sense of rhythm, timing and musical awareness. TRIAL BOOKINGS: Of course you are welcome to watch the trial class but following the trial, WhizzDancers are expected to be independent in the room. TERM BOOKINGS: You are welcome to watch the first class but following this your WhizzDancer will be expected to go in the class independently. You will be expected to provide full uniform. Details will be sent following. We have lots of opportunities ahead for your WhizzDancer including exams and shows. This is a recalibrated ballet barre focusing on fitness, posture and strength with an integrated stretch series to keep your body supple and healthy. It will help achieve sculpted arms, a strong centre and streamlined legs.

Every Thursday at 19:30 – 21:00 Beginners are welcome to try the class, however, we believe that this class is more suited to anyone with 2 years of dance experience / people with a background in ballet or other dance styles. If you would like to get fit and supple while having fun and deepening your understanding of classical ballet techniques, then this is the class for you. Exercises are set by the teacher, not following set graded syllabus work. Students are welcome and encouraged to take part in performances such as Showcases and Productions if they wish to do so. At Dakoda’s Dance Academy, we offer a nurturing environment where preschool children can learn to express themselves through movement. We understand that children develop at different rates, which is why our classes are tailored to each child’s abilities. Our experienced and highly trained instructors have a passion for teaching and helping children reach their full potential. Our Adult & Baby Ballet classes focus on developing children’s coordination, balance, and strength, while also introducing them to the basics of ballet technique. We use props such as ribbons and scarves to help engage the children and make the classes fun, imaginative and interactive. Age-appropriate preschool music is also used
