This is my philosophy. There have been times when I might have said yes too quickly but equally, no-one lives forever.. This is why I decided to go for my Yoga teacher training. A passion to learn and to teach. Following a trip to Thailand I got back to my desk in Edinburgh and thought no! No more... And so I did it, and I want to share my journey and musings. MY YOGA JOURNEY I started ballet at a really young age of 2 and fell in love with being free to move and letting my imagination run wild. Often I was found looking at my mum's Iyengar Yoga book and imitating the yoga images over and over. This connection with movement has never left me. Inspired, I studied Performing Arts specialising in Contemporary Dance at De Montfort University, Bedford, and continued to study Community Education at Edinburgh University where I specialised in Community Arts and Youth Work. I found my way to Yoga after going to a gym class during a stressful period of work where I tried Power Yoga. My coordination at first was terrible and I was struggling to keep up with the class but still really enjoyed attending. I then decided to do a beginner class to see if that could help my coordination and balance. At this point Yoga was still a purely physical practice to me. It was not until several years later that I went on a trip to India where I travelled to Kerala and Goa and really started to be drawn to the spiritual and meditative side of Yoga. I got up as early as 6am to do Yoga practice and discovered Ashtanga Yoga. I was hooked. I liked how the physical benefits improved my health and was especially drawn to the chanting and the wonderful philosophy of Yoga. Two years of regular yoga practice later, after attending a Yoga retreat in Granada and a trip to Thailand, I took the leap and signed up to a Yoga teacher training course. This course would become what I felt to be a challenge and reward at the same time, learning and memorising sancript and Yoga philosophy, finding self acceptance and realising that it is ok if you cannot do every single yoga pose. This course has given me real confidence to teach yoga in the community and share this feeling of excitement. YOGA FOR KIDS My style of kids Yoga classes is drawn to delivering fun and creative yoga sessions. Yoga journeys are a vital part of these classes, where kids can nourish their creativity using movement in their body to tell a story while breath work helps the kids feel more calm. Having completed my Kids Yoga Teacher training with Rainbow Kids Yoga in London, I quickly realised how passionate I am about working with kids of all ages to help them reach their full potential. YOGA FOR ADULTS My style of classes is drawn to delivering dynamic sequences with focus on flow and restorative styles of yoga where students can focus on deep relaxation and connection of movement with breath. I love sharing that inner work with others and for them to leave feeling happier at ease and with a smile. I strongly believe that everyone can do yoga in the right supportive environment. I am a registered RYT-200 Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. Having completed my training at Meadowlark Yoga Edinburgh in 2015 my style of yoga is distinctively Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow influenced. BABY MASSAGE My baby massage courses are about providing quality time between parent and baby, relaxing and enjoying special time together. Parent and baby are introduced to baby massage, loving touch, gentle stretches and songs. I work with you to promote confidence, help you learn how to communicate with your baby and understand their cues of responsiveness in a nurturing and stress free environment.I am a qualified Baby Massage Instructor, having completed my training with the Scottish School of Child and Baby Massage and an accredited Massage Therapist with the Scottish School of Massage where I obtained Diplomas in both, Sport and Remedial Massage as well as Indian Head Massage. PREGNANCY YOGA As a Pregnancy Yoga teacher I am extremely passionate about the holistic mind and body benefits yoga can bring to support women through birth and after. I believe yoga is for everyone and is a great support to help mums to de-stress, connect with others, share our journeys and become part of a community. Pregnancy Yoga classes are a fantastic way to nourish our bodies and physically and emotionally improve our health and wellbeing. I am currently running weekly classes in Pregnancy Yoga where I offer a relaxed and calming space for women to practise and provide practical tools to support women during their pregnancy and birth. MUM & BABY YOGA My style of Post natal Mum & Baby Yoga classes is focused on supporting women after birth. It is a great way to nourish our bodies physically and emotionally, as well as improving health and well being. I especially focuses on breath awareness, building strength and flexibility and creating a safe space for women to bond with their baby. Over the last 12 years, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed teaching Pilates to many people of all ages and abilities, and with varying muscle and joint problems, back issues and health conditions. I started my complementary healthcare training 19 years ago, qualifying in 2002 with a diploma from the London School of Sports Massage. I returned to my home city of Edinburgh that year, successfully building up a client base and running the complementary healthcare clinic Happy Being for 12 years in the west end, until 2020. Back in 2009, I decided to train as a Pilates teacher and qualified with a certificate in mat Pilates teaching Level 3 CYQ (Central YMCA Qualifications). This came from a desire to help my massage clients develop the tools to care for their own bodies rather than relying on regular massage treatments and doing their own exercises between sessions with varying results. The two disciplines successfully ran side by side, with many people coming to the clinic for both massage treatments and Pilates classes. In 2016 I developed my physiological and anatomical knowledge and practical skills further by achieving an advanced remedial massage diploma from the Scottish School of Sports Massage. I apply the knowledge I gained through this training to my Pilates teaching, drawing on a deeper understanding of the human body and how it works. I am constantly developing ideas, combining my vision with a structured modern approach. I’ve worked with many clients with varying levels of fitness and health conditions, from athletes to those with chronic fatigue syndrome CFS/ ME. I start with the 8 fundamental principles of the Pilates Method and the many Pilates movements to bring about new ideas. These are often from varying disciplines which I’ve studied and practised over the years such as Qigong, Tai Chi and even meditation with breath work. Many of the balance, warm-up stretches and cool-down movements in the classes are Qigong-based.

I am a Healer from a generation of healers in my family, a Holistic Therapist, a Shaman and an Essenian Therapist. I am also an Artist and a Writer. I am not part of any religion, nor am I attached to any spiritual movement or current, which allows me to be free in my choices to serve the Divine Source, only the Divine Source. This Divine Source in who I believe, the Divine Source Mother&Father God and I recognize the Divine Source in everything, in every being, spirit, shape, life. I see the Divine Source in You, in Nature, in the Universe, in Me, in All. I like to say: “All is One, One is All, All is in One, One is in All”. During therapies sessions I offer, I listen to you with all my love, heart, and availability in respect of your free will. The Divine Source guides me to achieve the energetic harmonization you need. This can be Essenian therapy, shamanic therapy, reiki therapy. I can use crystals, healing musical instruments and channelled songs to accompany the session. Heavenly spirits, guides of light, and spirits of Nature might Join the session, especially those of the totem animals that accompany me daily. I don’t know in advance. However, they always manifest themselves with the greatest love, and they are always a gift to you and me. The session of energetic harmonization will allow you to set out the self-healing process within yourself, the process we all have within us. Sometimes, if I am allowed, I use the gift of magnetism with hands given to me by the Source to ease or even remove pain. I am the channel through which the Divine Source passes to bring you what you need, in the present moment, you are your own healer.

This course is about learning to use your digital SLR camera with confidence and skill. Explore aperture, shutter speed and megapixels through to white balance, ISO ratings, histograms and much more! With a blend of technical tuition, demonstration, practical assignments and group discussion, you will discover how to unlock your camera’s full potential and take better pictures. If you don’t have a digital SLR we can often provide one for you – please select from dropdown at time of booking. You can also use your interchangeable or fixed lens system, mirrorless or rangefinder camera on this course. Bridge cameras without interchangeable lenses can be used too, but please note that they may not allow the full range of camera controls. Computer experience is beneficial. Day 1: Features of your Digital SLR camera. Areas covered include aperture, shutter speed and megapixels through to white balance, ISO ratings, histograms and all the rest. There will be time to ask questions and demonstrate the advantages of each feature, getting to grips with the “how’s” and “why’s” We will put into practise all the features that have been discussed and demonstrated in session one on a walk around town with your cameras. We will come back to the gallery, learn a little about methods of downloading and viewing photographs, and explore some basic Photoshop tools. Day 2: Exercises, Assignments and Review Question time. There will be a few formal exercises set up to practise on and time to discuss the elements learned in day one. We will also discuss in more detail the more compositional aspects of photography, and prepare for the afternoons’ assignment. You will carry out your assignments outside the gallery and be given a time to return with your completed assignments. Assignment presentations, troubleshooting and review. The last half will involve editing and viewing the photographs, open discussions and asking any final questions.   Courses are subject to minimum enrolment. We can work together using different methods: A) Shamanic healing We can work together to solve one of these imbalances in your life, where you feel: lost and without life purpose, unhappy and unsatisfied, anxious and worried, overwhelmed and stressed, without energy and hope, uncertain about your future, stuck in repetitive dynamics, unable to manifest abundance, incapable of making decisions,not aligned with your heart, disconnected from the universe,impatient and impulsive, not focused and balanced, with low esteem and more? B) Ikigai coaching to find your soul mission through shamanic work Ikigai is the manifestation, the realization of who you are. It has always been with you, it is your reason for being. Some people are lucky to find a job that corresponds to their true passion. They earn a living doing what they love. But there are a lot of people that do not have such a privilege or can’t find the courage for such a big change.The Japanese people from the island of Okinawa have a word for you: Ikigai. It’s your “reason for being”, where you combine what you love with what you are good. Ikigai is 'what makes you happy to get out of bed in the morning' and is formed by the union of two words: iki which means 'life' and gai that is 'what is worthwhile' which the ancients called “happiness”, your soul mission. Our session together will be a deep inner journey, suitable for those who already know their life mission and those who have no clue at all about it or just are not aware how to combine their gifts and skills. You will reconnect with your inner voice and true skills to realize your true life mission. C) Shamanic divination is a powerful practice rooted in the traditions of indigenous cultures worldwide. It involves using sacred tools like bones, stones, eggs, sticks, shells, beads and more to access wisdom from the past and present. These tools reveal patterns, offering guidance on life’s journey. Whether you seek clarity or understanding, the practice connects you with the cosmic web of life. Explore this ancient path to deeper insights with us. There are several options in which I can offer you a reading: Eggs:Egg ‘Limpia’: A Shamanic cleansing ritual and a tool for DivinationThe egg is a powerful tool in shamanic healing, used for ‘Limpia’ (meaning 'cleansing') to remove misplaced energy. As the egg sweeps over the aura and body, it absorbs negative energy, leaving you feeling lighter and rejuvenated.After the cleanse, we interpret the egg in water to gain insights into your emotional, physical, and spiritual state. This unique event honours our city’s growth and international community by offering an immersive Japanese culinary experience in South West Edinburgh. Class Overview Introduction to Sushi: Begin with the history and evolution of sushi, from its roots in Japan to its global popularity today. Preparation Essentials: Learn about the ingredients, equipment, and techniques needed to create authentic sushi at home. Demonstration: Watch our sushi chef from Osaka, Seiji (who works in the local restaurant in Dalry, Miju,) demonstrate key techniques, from rice preparation to rolling, folding, and garnishing. Make Your Own: Under expert guidance, you’ll have the chance to make a variety of delicious sushi types and experiment with flavors. Sushi Creations During this class, you’ll learn to prepare a selection of vegetarian sushi, including: Two Types of Vegetable Maki Rolls: Choose from fresh ingredients like cucumber, avocado, kaiso seaweed, and daikon radish. Green Temaki Handroll: A refreshing combination of cucumber, avocado, and daikon in a traditional handroll. Tamago Nigiri: Master the art of making two pieces of Japanese-style egg sushi. Gunkan Sushi: Choose between a kaiso seaweed or tofu pocket Gunkan for a delightful twist.
