Aqua Jems Ltd was established to provide a different approach to teaching swimming to babies, toddlers, pre-school and school age children. Our lessons are progressive and inclusive, building a close, trusting relationship between the parent and baby and then teacher and child. This enables a personalised and bespoke service in a safe, friendly style, within a warm relaxed environment, this ensures the progression of each and every swimmer is optimised. From birth to competitive swimming! Our teachers are in the water and very stroke focused, with very small class sizes, we are able to give every swimmer the attention and correction they need every lesson. We have a max of 4 children per teacher in every class for school aged children and 8 children when parents are in the water to ensure great progress is made by every child.

Anaphylaxis is a severe and life-threatening allergic reaction, which requires immediate medical attention. With the number of sufferers increasing each year, it is extremely important to know what to do when faced with this acute emergency condition.  The QA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis (RQF) qualification has been designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, at home or in voluntary and community activities, to provide basic life support and manage anaphylaxis when dealing with an emergency. Successful candidates will be able to recognise the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis, and will be equipped with the vital skills needed to administer safe, prompt and effective treatment.

This year, we will be hosting our summer school Monday 31st July-Friday 4th August, 9am-4pm at our studio: GDA, Unit 16 Paper Mill End, B44 8NH. Each day, children will participate in a range of performing arts, including dancing, singing, drama and arts and crafts all around the theme of Roald Dahl's Matilda. We hope to put on a mini performance on the Friday afternoon which parents are invited to watch. This is open to ALL CHILDREN aged 6-13 years. The cost to members is £25 per day or £90 for all 5 days. Children should wear their own comfortable clothing and can either bring a packed lunch or pre-order a hot dinner for £2. Hot food must be requested at least 7 days prior to the summer school starting and will vary each day but be items such as pizza and chips / burger and chips / jacket potatoes etc. Places will be limited but, going by previous years, extremely popular. To secure a place, please contact us clearly stating which date/s you would like. Individual days must be paid in full at time of booking. If you would like to do all 5 days, we request 50% at time of booking with the balance due 14th July. 

Where an organisation’s risk assessment of First Aid needs identifies that there is a requirement for Emergency First Aid at Work practitioners, then this national Award in Emergency First Aid at Work satisfies the requirements of the regulatory body for First Aid – the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aider’s that can provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner. This training takes place at our Birmingham Training Centre on the Hagley Road in Edgbaston.

Emergency Paediatric First Aid delivered by healthcare professionals - Educating through Experience

Gel Polish treatments are an increasingly popular treatment within the professional beauty industry. Gel Polish is applied to the client’s nail and then cured using an LED or UV lamp to create a longer lasting nail treatment (up to 3 weeks) than a standard manicure. Not only does this treatment keep clients happy due to its long-lasting effects, clients will need to return to the salon to have the gel polish removed, guaranteeing you repeat bookings. On completion of the course you will receive a certificate and a recognised, insurable qualification. All tools/products required for the course will be provided on the day. No take home kit included on this course.  Includes: Hard copy take home training manual. Duration – Fast track half day practical classroom-based training plus online theory work. Theory work to be completed in your own time via The Guild student portal before your practical course date. Practical day – 3pm – 6pm. It is advisable that students arrive 15 mins early to ensure a prompt start. Qualification - GTi award. Widely recognisable and insurable qualification, allowing you to deliver this treatment on the paying general public. Class size - Maximum 8 students in a class
