Immanuel School Multi Academy Trust

Dartford

The Emmanuel School Trust was established by Emmanuel Community Church International, along with The Greenleaf Trust and ECC Nursery, to fulfil the fellowship’s commitment to “Serve the Community Relevantly.” TEST is committed to providing excellent opportunities for all children in our communities, regardless of their faith, background or ability. We highlight faith values as a catalyst for reinforcing positive attitudes and our excellent provision for children’s spiritual, social, cultural and moral development permeates our schools. Our Rationale Our rationale for setting up free schools is to meet socio economic challenges and to improve standards of provision for children. We are determined to offer real choices to parents, with particular attention to the needs of the transient and cosmopolitan families in highly deprived areas. Children who would otherwise fail to fulfil their potential due to barriers such as poverty, English as an additional Language (EAL); will be challenged and supported in our schools, transforming them into high achievers. We emphasise the value and worth of each individual in order to develop a positive self-image and resilience in children. We work closely with other organisations and stakeholders to share best practice and resources. Our schools promote British values which include democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.

To encourage them to participate in learning experiences and decision-making processes that impact their lives and their communities. Address and combat the problems they face in their home circumstances, relationships, social and life experiences, paying particular attention to those challenged by homelessness, unemployment, substance/alcohol misuse, criminality and discrimination. We are especially interested in working with those who are socially, educationally, economically or geographically disadvantaged or have any sort of disability. Provide young people with real learning opportunities both formal and informal that encourage and allow them to fulfill their potential. To co-operate with and share good practice and experience with agencies (both statutory and non-statutory) who provide services for young people and to forge links and represent the needs and aspirations of young people within their communities and to the government. Counselling young people “Coming to Area 43 is kind of like my escape. The vibe is so good her

We offer online courses in Connecting with Nature for Wellbeing. To be kept informed of future course dates, please register interest here [https://feelgood-forest-bathing.com/register-interest]. Forest Bathing is a modern approach to the ancient Japanese art of Shinrin Yoku - connecting with nature through our senses. We approach nature, we slow down, and we pay close attention to what we are noticing. Research shows it has remarkable benefits for both our mind and body.  It’s rapidly becoming popular worldwide as a powerful way to reduce stress, improve our wellbeing, and to rediscover our relationship with the natural world. Best of all, it’s lots of fun! Our interactive courses offer students weekly activities to practice in their neighbourhood. They can share the journey with their classmates in our online community, and are fully supported by the course creator. By the end of the course they will be independent Forest Bathers, with all the skills they need to continue connecting with nature, and developing their own unique relationship with the natural world, no matter where they live. The course is accredited for CPD (Continuing Professional Development). Students can earn professional Learning Credits, whilst learning the core skills of nature connection to adapt and apply in their own field of work, including education, social and community work, health care and mental health support.
