We are proud as a training organisation to be able to deliver this course in small groups. We only allow a maximum of 5 learners to attend this course as this ensures learners receive the support they require and plenty of hands on opportunity to learn this healthcare skill. This training course is delivered by Healthcare Professionals with many years of on-the-job experience and who can guide you through the theoretical and practical elements of this essential healthcare skill, and answer any questions that may arise during your training.

Would you know what to do if a child in your care needed first aid?  The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework requires all early years providers in England to have at least one person who has a current and full paediatric first aid certificate on the premises and available at all times when children are present. Providers should also take into account the number of children, staff and layout of the premises and increase their paediatric first aid provision accordingly to ensure that a paediatric first aider is available to respond to emergencies quickly.  The QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) has been specifically designed to meet the criteria set by the Department for Education’s EYFS Framework and is ideal for:   • Those who have gained a level 2 and/or level 3 childcare qualification and have entered into an early years setting and wish to be included in the staff to child ratios to comply with EYFS requirements.   • Registered childminders and assistants who are required to hold a current and full paediatric first aid certificate in order to comply with the EYFS requirements.   • Anyone who has a non-professional involvement with infants and children, such as parents, grandparents and want to learn key paediatric first aid skills.   Successful candidates will learn the roles and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider, and will be equipped with the necessary skills to administer safe and effective treatment when dealing with a range of paediatric first aid situations.

This course Operator Licence Awareness is suitable for LGV drivers and any person working in the Road Haulage industry involved with transport planning and operations. Persons who may attend include but are not limited to directors, transport planners, transport admins and assistants. For professional drivers, this will be recorded as 7 hours of their mandatory 35 hours of Driver CPC. This course will cover: Roles and Responsibilities, Operator Licensing, Drivers’ Hours, Working Time and Record Keeping, Effective Maintenance Systems, Safe Loading, Traffic Regulations, Driver Management, Enforcement and Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS).

Paediatric First Aid Paediatric First Aid at Work Two Day Course Cost:  £125 + vat per person This course has been developed for those who are working with children and infants. It will be of particular interest to teachers, child minders, crèche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone else who has a responsibility for their welfare whilst in your care. The purpose of the qualification is for the learner to attain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a range of paediatric first-aid situations. This two-day qualification fulfils the requirements for first aid training detailed in the Department for Education’s statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.  SYLLABUS A range of subjects is covered, including: Role of the Paediatric First Aider Primary survey Resuscitation (CPR including the safe use of an AED) Wounds, bleeding and shock Allergic reactions including anaphylaxis Head, neck and back injuries Seizure Choking Minor injuries Recovery position Fractures Foreign bodies Diabetic emergencies Asthma Meningitis Febrile convulsions Extreme cold and heat Electrical incidents Maximum of 12 People Students must be a minimum of 16 years of age to qualify. Numbers A maximum of 12 students can be accommodated on this course. CERTIFICATION The qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement. It is recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training. The learner will need to complete the full course again to re-qualify for a further three years. Our Bowel Care training will enable learners to deliver effective and thorough support to individuals who have difficulty managing their bowel habits due to immobility or illness. Bowel Care training is aimed at support workers with no experience of bowel care and can also be attended by nurses who may like to update their knowledge.
