Our company founder has interviewed for both jobs and degree level courses. She knows what questions they're going ask—and she knows exactly how to answer them!

Find out how to laser cut and engrave with Gifted Crafts Co. We’ve been lasering for 12 years now and have the experience to show for it. We use both kit style laser engravers and professional CO2 laser cutters throughout our workshop, so you can try lots of materials and techniques in both 2D and 3D. Our one-to-one sessions are designed to help you get started on your own projects, even if you don’t know anything about lasering. We’ll teach you the software, cover what materials work best for different techniques, and give you ideas for things to try out at home or in your studio.

You’ve seen the results of letterpress printing in pictures and ads, but now you can print your own cards, posters and invites. Explore the rich textures and colours that come from this classic form of printing and get inspired by classic design styles. Are you interested in learning how to make polymer clay jewellery? Join us for a fun and informative workshop that will teach you everything you need to know about conditioning the clay, texturing, cutting, shaping the clay, forming and moulding. You'll create a range of finished jewellery pieces that you can take home with you afterwards. This is a great way to learn some new skills and explore a wide variety of style and techniques that are easy enough for beginners but also have room for more advanced learners!

This set of 6 morning workshops (over 6 weeks) is designed to allow you the opportunity to explore a wide range of techniques to create beautifully unique fused glass jewellery & decorative objects. After a brief introduction to the historical context and language of fused glass you will be guided through using techniques such as scoring, cutting £0& layering sheet & accessory glass, adding mica or oxide powders to create sparkle and bubbles, use of kiln carving to create subtle textures, using inclusions of wire & precious metal foils and painting or stencilling with 'glassline' paints etc. you will create at least 2 pieces per session and these will be fired and ready to add finishing touches on the subsequent session ( pieces made during the final date will be fired & finished and ready for collection after 7 days) we will mainly focus on jewellery but larger items can be made eg. This course is ideal for all, from beginners to confident makers. You will learn the basics of leather craft for accessories and be introduced to techniques including machine stitching on leather, hand finishing and hand cutting. You will also be working with the full spectrum of leather types from soft leathers and suedes to a hard sturdy veg tanned leather. This is a perfect introductory course to start your journey into leatherwork and bag making as you will experience the wide variety of tasks involved in the work. In order to complete your bag in a day we will use part pre-prepared components and the bag will be made from a ‘Hands of Tym’ pattern but do not fear there is still plenty of work for you to do. During the day you will be directed by your tutor Leathersmith and London College of Fashion Lecturer Georgie Tym to make one of the following bag - A fully lined ‘Turned Seam’ ‘T-Base’ mini Leather bucket bag with raw edge strap. The dimensions of the mini bucket bag are 185mm x 190mm x 110mm. Following a varied career in Accessories design and development across many roles and international brands I set up Hands of Tym in 2016. The courses I offer are suitable for all, from experienced to total novice. Come along to learn something new, and design and make your own leather bag in a day.

Make an amazing 5' tall living willow sculpture for your garden from freshly cut live willow. Your sculpture will continue to grow for years, simple maintence retains the size and shape whilst providing new deep red withies for you to cut and weave with each year. You will learn some basic weaving techniques and learn about how the willow is grown and processed. No experience necessary, bring a light weight pair of gardening gloves  Plant pot and compost supplied. Refreshments are included.
