Have you always fancied learning to crochet but never found the time or struggled with online tutorials? Our classes are friendly, relaxed and the perfect place to learn. Tea, coffee and biscuits are always included and BYOB is also encouraged - we’ll supply the glasses! Come along and enjoy the basics of crochet in this beginner course delivered over 5 sessions. Class number is limited to 6. Week 1 - Skill building. Learn chains, rows, turning and double crochet. Begin your 1st project. Week 2 - Learn slip stitch and weaving ends as you finish your project. Introduction to 2 new stitches. Week 3 - Make a Granny Square! Week 4 - Make some flowers and learn how to follow a pattern Week 5 - More pattern reading skills to make your final project. You will learn the most used stitches plus lots of tips to get you started. You will discover how to make granny squares which are the building blocks of many crochet projects including blankets, bags, clothes, even plant pots! Make an amazing 5' tall living willow sculpture for your garden from freshly cut live willow. Your sculpture will continue to grow for years, simple maintence retains the size and shape whilst providing new deep red withies for you to cut and weave with each year. You will learn some basic weaving techniques and learn about how the willow is grown and processed. No experience necessary, bring a light weight pair of gardening gloves  Plant pot and compost supplied. Refreshments are included.

A sewing workshop to create a simple dungaree dress which has a couple of different style options. Full help is on hand to understand the pattern, cut out and assemble your dress. Bring your own machine or borrow one from Stitching Kitchen.

Running either mornings or afternoons Nicola’s soap making workshop is for 1 or 2 people to make their own 100% natural cold pressed soaps the old fashioned way. We will run a soap making workshop on demand for either 1 or 2 people in Westwell, Kent. On the day you will: Learn about different soap making techniques, Understand the characteristics of various plant oils and their benefits to the skin, Learn the basics of essential oils, Make your own natural soap using the traditional ‘cold pressed’ method. To find out which soaps you can make, get in touch beforehand. All of the soaps are vegan friendly. You’ll need to leave the soap to cure for 6 weeks, after which you can either collect it or I can post it to you. As an added extra Nicola will prepare a selection of natural, locally sourced herbal infusions for you to try out. A 3 hour workshop is £70 per person. This includes 10 bars of cold pressed soap and the postage to send them to you once they’ve cured. What's included in the price?
