Bovendien zorgt het systeem ook dat je voldoet aan de eisen van de GDPR en privacywetgeving  In deze webinar gaan we in op Mailchimp, niet alleen omdat we hier als school zelf mee werken, maar ook omdat het platform gratis is zolang je minder dan 2000 adressen in het systeem zitten hebt. Voor beginnende kunstenaars en ontwerpers is dat dus een betaalbaar systeem.  In deze workshop belichten we verschillende aspecten van een mailing, adresformulieren en sjablonen. We zoomen ook in op de account van LUCA en wat dit betekent voor studenten en docenten van LUCA. De webinar staat open voor studenten, alumni en docenten van LUCA School of Arts.

An enriching and creative day led by artist and art educator Lucy Perry to immerse students in floral forms through expressive and painterly techniques. SATURDAY 17th May 2025 Beautiful Brusho Blooms: The day starts with looking at some artwork to inspire us and then some quick observational drawing exercises to get to know our glorious subject matter. Lucy will guide students through explorations of colourful blooms in Brusho watercolour dyes, creating vibrant and lively studies using expressive brushwork techniques, wax resist and dip pen with ink. As the day unfolds, students have the freedom to select a specific subject and method for more in-depth exploration.  Who is this course for? This course is for anyone who loves natural forms and wants to find exciting ways to explore them artistically. You might be at the beginning of your art journey or you might be an artist or designer with lots of experience but looking for new ideas and the opportunity to take part in new art practices with like-minded folk...new ways of seeing, leading to new possibilities. It will also provide you with an opportunity to relax and focus on mindful activities; restorative and connected to nature. What is included? Most materials are included but you are asked to come with your own watercolour paper (if you don't have any you could go to https://www.hahnemuehle.co.uk/agave-watercolour/10625402 and use the discount code LUCYPERRY15 to buy  a 30 x 40 (A3 ish) block of Agave paper). Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. Aprons are provided. Please bring a packed lunch. Free parking on site. This is a practical 2-day group tuition during which you will receive an overview of basic leather craft and hand sewing skills and techniques and create your own hand-sewn leather bag to take home with you.The class will take place in our London workshop, where you will see how a leather craft studio is equipped and receive practical demonstrations of common leather and bag-making methods.You will be able to choose your project from a selection of different medium-sized bags. You will also be able to pick the leather type, color and hardware you prefer from our stock. All our leathers are beautiful, rescued Italian vegetable-tanned leather from leading tanneries and fashion brands.You will receive an introduction to leather types, including how to mark, cut, edge finish, and hand sew leather using saddle stitching, as well as apply simple fastening hardware. Relevant, useful, and informative handouts and lists of leather and tool suppliers will be provided.At the end of the tuition, you will have:– Gained an understanding of leather types and tanning methods– Been instructed on the use of common fastenings and closure techniques– Received an overview of the correct use of tools for preparing, marking, cutting and punching leather– Learned how to use, read and place patterns– Learned how to saddle stitch leather and understood the different tools and materials used in the technique– Understood and practiced leather craft techniques such as beveling and burnishing– Created your own hand-stitched leather bag to take home with you.   ABOUT THE FINAL PROJECT:The final bag you will create will be a small or medium-sized leather bag from a choice of designs.
