Set during World War 2, the film charts the amazing invention by two sisters of a computer that's able to show glimpses of the future. By altering events in the present, the world changes around the two women, as time and space reach near breaking point. One of the best underground films to come out this year, be sure to come and see it, and then get a chance to speak to the man who made it afterwards!

Jessica has acted in numerous critically-acclaimed series and films over a stunning career, including Spaced, Twenty Twelve, Doctor Who, Years and Years, Paddington 2, Son of Rambow and There She Goes. A celebrated screenwriter and director as well, every student at Central Film School will benefit from hearing Jessica speak, as she offers insight and advice from her time in the entertainment industry. Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix play best friends Scott and Mike, who turn tricks and hustle through difficulties living on the streets. Their bond and love is tested when ghosts from the past arise and they're forced onto the road to find answers. One of the most important films in LGBTQ+ cinema, My Own Private Idaho broke down barriers and flew in the face of taboo at the time of its release. Come and see this important story of celebrating gay culture on the big screen.

Date: 22nd January Time: 4pm Location: Studio A One of the most highly-acclaimed films of the 2010s (and rightly so), Bong Joon-Ho's 2019 masterpiece Parasite explores the crushing forces of social hierarchy, the deceptive nature of hope and familial bonds in a story that crosses several different genres in a tight, twisty manner. The Kim family live in a deprived area of Seoul, and must work together through trickery and manipulation to convince the much wealthier Park family to hire them as servants. As lies and deceptions mount atop one another, the Kims make a startling discovery that will push their abilities and reveal the darker side hidden in all of them. Send it in to be part of our CRITICAL VIEWING SESSION. This is a laid-back, informal session where you can receive feedback on your work from your peers and friends in a friendly, constructive manner.This will be a great opportunity for you to get unofficial feedback on work you have completed both in school and in your personal time, as well as give you the chance to flex your criticism muscles and express how you feel about others' work.Please note, films should not exceed 10 minutes, scripts or script samples should not exceed 10 pages and showreels/performance pieces should not exceed 5 minutes.

Tim will speak about the following topics as well as others at the event: Approaches to Documentary How a Documentary Gets Made The Purpose of a Documentary Modern Combinations of CGI & Live Action Throughout students will have the chance to ask questions about the topics being discussed, before wrapping up with a wider Q+A session at the end.
