You have 2 options here: Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) is a 1 day course designed to prepere you for worst case scenarios with children and babies. 1 day face to face 9am untill 4pm Paediatric First Aid Blended (PFAB) is a 2 day course covering everything from EPFA above and adding on a range of additional conditions and injuries you may need to deal with when caring for children. 2 days, 1 online in your own time and 1 classroom day 9am to 5.15 pm First Aid Training is a relaxed and enjoyable day, assessment will not be stressful, we aim to help you learn and support you to get what you need from the day. There are some practical and some multiple choice assessments for First Aid qualifications. First Aid can be quite physical, you will need to be able to kneel on the floor to perform CPR and recovery position.

This qualification is for unsupported outdoor or adventure activity leaders, typically operating in situations where help is less than a few hours away, e.g. outdoor instructors, outdoor learning practitioners, mountain leaders, Duke of Edinburgh assessors, bushcraft instructors, forest school leaders, canoe expedition leaders. This list is not exhaustive.

First Aid at Work is a 3 day course 1 day is delivered on line. If you are already qualified just choose the 2 day option to requalify and you skip the online element. The course is suitable for people who work in high risk workplaces and covers the worst case scenarios and some of the more common minor stuff and goes on to cover common injuries and conditions a first aider might come accross. Initial training: 1 day online learning 2 days in the Splat classroom. Initial training is a BLENDED course meaning that 6 hours of work must be completed online BEFORE the start of the course. Without this completed online element delegates will not be able to attend training and places cannot be refunded. Registration for the online element will be sent separately when booking is complete. Requalifier: If you have a **current First Aid at Work Certificate** you need only attend the 2 classroom days. You can choose this option at booking. First Aid Training at Splat is relaxed and enjoyable. We aim to help you learn and support you to get what you need from the day. There are some practical and some multiple-choice assessments but our job is to ensure you have everything you need to pass these easily. This course is for therapists who have attended Day One TIP training with Kathryn and Amelia.  Walk the Walk and Talk the Talk.  How to move from trauma informed to trauma responsive.  We will look at the dangers of burn out and vicarious trauma and how to to navigate and respond to this within the systems we work in.  How do we: Stay safe Stay in our lane (and what is our lane working with emotional needs as educators and SLTs) Communicating relational work and showcasing it The language of interpersonal neurobiology Target setting for self and clients/ students Strategies to reduce imposture syndrome/ shape shifting. The course will be interactive with small group discussion and numbers are kept small to allow for this to be a safe container.

Entry Requirements For entry onto the NCC Education Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES) qualification students must have successfully completed secondary school education. Students must also meet the English language entry requirements of: • IELTS minimum score of 4.5 or above OR • GCE ‘O’ Level English D7 or above Alternatively, a student can take the free NCC Education Higher English Placement Test which is administered by our Accredited Partner Centre’s.
