This practical Domestic Wiring Circuits Module 2 course covers all the commonly used domestic wiring circuits in use today and aims to make you familiar with the application and use of different types of circuit, along with practical construction, inspection and testing of the circuits built. The topics that are covered in the Domestic Wiring Circuits Module 2 course include the following and are put across in a relaxed way, with trainee interaction encouraged from the outset of the course.

The qualification consists of a written examination and an assignment, before attempting this qualification, candidates should seriously consider completing 2391-52 and have achieved 2382-18 or similar qualifications where knowledge and understanding of BS7671 18th edition

These PLC’s have been carefully selected to match the latest current trends in industry, to match what industry is using. We DO NOT use simulator software, our training is very much hands on, allowing you the confidence when completing the course to work in the real world. You cannot gain this with simulators. Presently 90% of the industry run with Siemens S7 1200 PLC’s. Why learn on something which isn’t used in the real world? Don’t get ridiculed in the real world, by having unusable theoretical skills. ALL our trainers are industry leaders, who are time served, experienced and highly qualified in the subject field, with a minimum of 20 years each in the industry. We can accommodate most makes of PLC’s, however, if you are new to the industry, we would HIGHLY recommend learning on the major players first using real PLC’s, real software and real training rigs. We are the ONLY accredited centre to also offer industry recognised, City & Guilds qualifications in PLC, which is run in tandem to the EAL qualification. This Pipework and Brazing certification course is designed to ensure that personnel are practised in the use of special tools and equipment used to install or repair copper pipework in small commercial and split unit air-conditioning systems. The Pipework and Brazing course also covers the requirements of the Environmental Protection Act regarding the construction/repair of refrigeration pipework and the high pressure implications of new refrigerants. The Pipework and Brazing course ensures approved standards are achieved. Pipework and Brazing course notes/record book are provided.

At the end of the 5 days, Learners will attain an RQF Award in the requirements of FD&FA systems for non-domestic buildings BS 5839-1: 2025.

During this workshop, we will also touch on the theory of colours and how they can affect and change our moods. This workshop is led by Anna Baran, a trauma informed designer, artist, and maker based in the north of Edinburgh. She has always drawn inspiration from the sea, with her walks to local beaches, particularly Wardie Bay during the lockdown, becoming not only a source of new ideas for her artistic practice but also a way to gather materials such as driftwood, pieces of plastic ropes, and seashells. Anna has consistently sought to incorporate upcycled materials into her art, using her work to raise environmental awareness and promote art as an accessible medium for self-expression, regardless of financial circumstances. In addition to participating in various art exhibitions and fashion-related events, she has delivered a wide range of art and craft workshops to diverse communities across Edinburgh.
