She is especially keen to consider playful, funny books for all ages, and is on the lookout for heartwarming, empowering stories, whether in a realistic, contemporary setting, or a wildly imaginative fantasy world - or somewhere in-between. Alice is offering 121 sessions for young fiction, middle grade, YA and picture book writers. For chapter books, MG and YA fiction, please submit a covering letter, synopsis and the first three chapters of your manuscript in a single word document. For picture books, please submit a covering letter and two texts, or for illustrators one dummy and examples from your portfolio or a link to your website. This session is aimed at vets new to the Welsh Government funded Animal Health and Welfare workshops programme, as well as those that have delivered workshops in the past but need a refresher session. It is one of the required steps for vets to become approved to deliver these workshops. Join us to learn about the modules that we offer and the format by which our workshops run. We will also provide some basic tips on how to run a successful workshop. Admin members of staff are also welcome to join us to learn about the functionality of the portal/site and the administrative work involved in running a workshop.

About the event We are pleased to be hosting a Doing History at University event for students and teachers in partnership with the University of Sheffield. The aim of the event is to introduce students to history at university, and how to make yourself stand out in the application process.  Sheffield University has one of the largest, most active and successful centres for teaching and historical research in the UK. It was ranked among the UK’s top three history departments for the impact and quality of its research, and its teaching is consistently rated as excellent. This one-day event will equip students with the tools to ensure that you have the best chance of studying history at the university of your choice.
