York Swimming Academy

Our son has been swimming here for 2 years now and the improvements he has made have been amazing. He’s quite a shy, quiet boy and Amy and the team are so patient and helpful with him, he loves swimming with them and we are so pleased with the progress he has made. The organisation of the classes is brilliant, plenty of fun and games, our 4 year old absolutely loves it.

I'm so glad I dared to go to the Adult class 'Be a Better Swimmer'! The access and online instructions are excellent. Our teacher is committed and friendly and the teacher-student ratio is good. A great place to make friends!

I went for my first swimming lesson at New Earswick pool on Sunday and found the whole experience very enjoyable. I was learning to swim before we had the pandemic and haven't been for 18 months. The swimming instructor was considerate of all the different levels in my group and allowed us to go at our own pace. I would recommend these lessons for anyone who wants to start to swim or improve there swimming. Above all it was good fun with a nice bunch of people.

Tonight I had my first swimming lesson in over 40 years. I can’t recommend this club highly enough. They have a brilliant set up given the current situation and restriction. Teachers are highly skilled and extremely attentive. I almost cracked tumble turns in my first 45 minute session!! Impressive after failing miserably attempting to teach myself for past 49 years.
