Foundation and Update Training available for both Registered Practitioners and Healthcare Support Workers
Vaccination coverage has played a crucial role in reducing the severity of COVID-19 cases and minimising the strain on healthcare systems. The aim of our training is to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality care by providing accurate and up-to-date information about diseases, immunisations, and vaccines. This course will help participants support individuals in making informed decisions about vaccination, promote public confidence in vaccination, and improve the uptake of immunisation.
Additionally, the session will focus on demonstrating knowledge in vaccine storage and distribution, including the cold chain process, as well as vaccine administration and sharps disposal processes.
Immunisation and Vaccination training is vital for staff in healthcare as it equips them with the necessary knowledge and skills to protect public health and prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
Through comprehensive training, nurses can confidently administer vaccines, address concerns, and provide accurate information to patients and their families.
Staying updated with evidence-based guidelines, healthcare staff can deliver safe and effective immunisation services to all age groups, identify high-risk populations, and respond to outbreaks effectively. By advocating for vaccination and dispelling misinformation, healthcare staff can increase vaccine acceptance and uptake, contributing to improved public health outcomes and the well-being of communities they serve.
