Stadium probably too big for the local fan base, as such lacked atmosphere. Nice enough stadium, but basic. Fair walk from the train station in a retail park with little to interest.

Very friendly staff make a trip to the DW Stadium a pleasant experience whatever the result for your team. From the guys on the gate to the catering team and the stewards in the ground everyone is very helpful. Well done Wigan FC.
