Well Grounded

Well Grounded was the best thing that has happened to me since I've got to London. The Specialty Barista Course gave me not only a real employment opportunity in a new country, but also new friends, a supportive community during these challenging times and a whole new body of knowledge. I am proud to be a Well Grounded graduate and I'm looking forward to applying what I've learned in a real coffee shop!

Wonderful team, so professional. Although the bulk of what they do is mainly for those not in education or employment, they interact with others in the coffee industry to share knowledge and further coffee education as a whole. Well Grounded in truly amazing. I moved to London from France looking to work in speciality coffee. Even tho I am really passionate it was really hard to find a job without experience. I found out about Well Grounded online and did a 2 weeks course. The quality of the teachings is really great and it gave me confidence and practical skills to pursue my passion. I now work in coffee, and I am thankful to Well Grounded for believing in me when others would not! Thank you!

I attended Well Grounded's SCA Accredited Specialist Barista Foundation course at their well appointed space at the shiny new Spotlight Youth Centre at Langdon Park - seven of us in all (we all passed the exam!). I highly recommend this project with a team of very passionate and professional people. We had six amazing days of coffee training with exceptional visit of a local speciality coffee roaster. Raf, Darshika and Eve were very helpful in what we need and I must say effective as some people found the job during the training in an independent coffee shop. Good luck guys! You do a great job.
